Republicans: Do you have a breaking point with Trump?

Serious question: Back during the campaign, those of us who were not voting for Trump didn't believe that he'd be able to follow through on a pretty significant percentage of his promises. We were mocked, of course, but now that we know the ACA won't be repealed, that Mexico won't be paying for the wall, that Trump even backed out of requiring WE fund the wall, and that he's softening on NAFTA and NATO and other issues, I'd like to know:

Have you thought about how much leeway you'll give him on his promises before you'd stop supporting him?
.

If he were to appoint a progressive to the SC the next time an opening came out, that's a breaking point.

If he were to all of a sudden go gun control happy, that would be a breaking point.

If he stopped reducing regulations, and increased government instead of cutting it down, that would be a breaking point

Most of the other stuff like NAFTA, Taxes and Healthcare I can accept compromises on if the overall trend is towards less government interference and power.
I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't nominate another conservative SC judge, but I'm lousy at predicting this stuff.

That would definitely get some pitchforks out, I think.
.

Pitchforks against rifles.

I don't see an answer to my question in there.
.
Might wanna temper those high expectations a bit Mac, after all this is an Internet Message board as in; ask an honest question, get mostly unintelligible gibberish in response. :D

"But he's got high hopes, he's got high hopes
He's got high apple pie, in the sky hopes
" -- Frank Sinatra, High Hopes
Very true. I'm gonna keep trying, until one day I just punt.
.

I have understood for a long time that what someone promises during a campaign and what they can do when they are elected are very different things.
I think part of his appeal may not have even specifically about issues, per se. Part of it was like a primal scream, people who have become so frustrated with the status quo that voting for him was like flipping the bird to the system. If that's the case, the individual decisions and legislation are essentially secondary.
.
There is no doubt part of his appeal was the idea of giving the Washington establishment a big FU. But when it comes to getting things done in Washington Congress moves at its own pace even when one party has both chambers of Congress and the Presidency Obama had this when he was sworn in and it still took him a year to get Obamacare passed.

'Republicans: Do you have a breaking point with Trump?'

Not a Republican, but Yes - when he breaks the law and / or 'hurts' this country. Compared to what Barry was allowed to get away with, Trump has a long way to go before he reaches that point.

It was one of Obama's first EOs

.
So did Obama's EO result in Gitmo being closed?
Would you like me to list the number of Obama's EOs that the courts laughed at as they threw them in the fucking garbage?
Deflect much?
Obama Lost Supreme Court More Than Any Modern President
Quit embarrassing your self
It's 'yourself' asshole!

I can't wait until Ruth croaks and President Trump has some 'unnamed Whitehouse sources' 'leak' that Trump is having 'secret' meetings with Ted Cruz.
Watch the blood shoot out of the DEM's eyes!!!!
Then watch how fast the DEMs in Congress and the Senate beg President Trump to help him get the Wall built and replace Obamacare.
ANYTHING!!!!! Just don't put Cruz on the SC!!!!!!!!!!!!

In other words, his supporters didn't vote for him because of his policies or promises. They liked his entertainment value. He made them laugh; his speeches didn't put them to sleep. Reality TV star, willing to be rude, talks like a 3rd grader so no one is left out, tweets insults all night long. WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE?

Perhaps some people voted for him for the reasons you stated but I haven't seen this opinion when talking to trump voters .. I can speak for myself and tell you that reasons I voted for him were his policies
Then I'm glad you are still satisfied with how he's doing. It's obvious he's trying. Just might take a little longer than he originally thought.
I based my comments on a lot of Trump supporters I've talked to, who when asked why they were supporting him, said things like "He's not p.c." and "He tells it like it is" and "He's a businessman, not a politician." So to me, it seems like personality more than policy was at work. I know some people actually chose him seriously.
You are listing some of the things some of his supporters like about him but not the reasons they voted for him. People voted for him because he took clear positions on the issues they cared about, and a lot of people voted for him who didn't like him but liked what he promised to do. On the other hand, Democrats had no idea why they supported Clinton. For the most part they didn't like her and she had no positions on any issues other than taxing the rich and allowing confused high school student pee where they liked.

People voted for him because he took clear positions on the issues they cared about,

Clear positions?
Like making Mexico pay for the wall
Like labeling China a currency manipulator
Like prosecuting Hillary
Like withdrawing from NAFTA
Like having a grand plan to defeat ISIS
Like repealing and replacing Obamacare

Trump has either reversed himself or done nothing on these clear positions
He has not reversed himself on any of his pledges and he is clearly working on all of them. What is clear from your post is that you have no idea why you oppose him.

He is not working on them
He gave up trying to make Mexico pay for the wall in just one week. Now he is making idle threats that he will make Mexico pay after the taxpayers have paid the bill
He specifically and repeatedly said NAFTA was dead.....now he has backed off
His secret plan to defeat ISIS turned out to be just continuing what Obama and NATO had been doing
He declared NATO as obsolete and just last week declared what a good job they are doing
He chanted week after week that China was a currency manipulator and that he would punish them for it.....now he says they are not a currency manipulator

He's just pandering to both sides now that confusion has set in with his tired state of physical abilities..

Everybody has their "breaking point" with a president.

I'm not a blind follower, I didn't like him bombing Assad's airport.

I'm fairly pleased with everything he's done so far.

He tried to make good on most of his campaign promises which is refreshing.

It's better than that "We're going to have the most transparent administration ever" thing that was immediately reneged on.

If he hasn't done something he promised during the campaign, it's because of the Republican party. I wouldn't call it a failure though, since it at least gave me a clear view where the real problem is. There is still lot of time left, so everything is possible. One thing I'd like to see is investigation into Clinton Foundation and "pay for play scheme".

So you think we would prefer to have Hillary in charge? If she was she would be herding us all quickly down the chute to the socialist abotior. What fool would prefer that?

If no border control, no mass deportations and no movement of the trade with China, then his Administration is a failure and America's last chance was just flushed away.

If he killed my mother, it may give me pause.... but then he's Trump.

His SCOTUS picks alone do it for me.

All the other issues are dessert.
If he killed my mother, I wouldn't care.

I love Trump! Everybody I know who voted for him, is thrilled with him!

He's getting more accomplished, and he's doing it more craftily, than I imagined in my wildest dreams!

Four years from now is going to be nirvana.

Yes...Trump has a stealth way of getting things done

They are there, but nobody can see it

Have you seen that stealth wall?
