I said I'd give him a few months to get his legs under him and get things moving. i didn't vote for the guy and think the voters were offered a choice between 2 turdburgers this time around. I didn't vote for Hillary either and would rather eat my own balls than in any way support that crazy thing.
Anyway, I'm not hung up on one policy or another or anything he necessarily promised. It's more like key areas.
1. Security. This shit with N Korea is a test for him. What's he going to actually DO about them, or ISIS, refugees and border security. Talk time ended Nov 9, so now I don't care what he says, I only care what he actually does.
2. Economy- Will he be SSDD as we've been seeing for the past few/several presidents in terms of their selling out to Wall St et al or will he actually do something to help people getting beat up by corparatism/globalism, as he promised. He jumped out of TPP. Ok, what else is there on the economic front.
3. Social issues- Overall I'm fairly happy with just pulling the plug on some of the lefty nuttery we were seeing. It was going too far in some areas and it was time for a break for that being a primary focus of the executive branch, as far as I'm concerned.
There are things I'm not happy about in general areas. I think he's not exactly a champion of the environment and that bothers me quite a bit, as I don't want my kids living in a fucking ashtray, but we'll see where some of that goes.....
If he starts making forward progress in some key areas I'll support him. If not, I likely won't. Long way to go before either of those things happens. He's got the office for 4 years and I'm not going to summarily decide he's a failure this early, that's the Dem's job; or on the flip side, that he's a success.
Right now I give him a C-. He's gotten some things done, and has tried but failed in other areas, but he still needs to get some of his shit together and realize that the office is bigger than he is. As an example, this every weekend golfing nonsense is a fucking joke and he needs to wake up and realize that those sorts of optics are going to turn off people that would otherwise like to support him....
