Republicans - Rich vs. Rubes

To the OP:

Tax Cuts for Rich People. Free Trade. Right to Work. At Will Employment.

A typical Redneck Liberal tirade. Shows a total lack of understanding of realistic economics and ignores individual freedoms.

Take money away from those who provide jobs and they MUST higher fewer.

Tariffs have never improved a local economy. Overhead cannot lower prices of products.

Right to Work - it is actually that. The freedom to chose where one want to work without coercion by unions or government.

Not sure what the final means but am sure it's a leftist catchphrase of some kind. :cuckoo:

Except the articles and conjunctions, every word of the post is false or misleading; plus some of the principle words themselves are suspect. Ordinarily one refrains from pointing out grammar or spelling because, after all, we're here about ideas. But one suspects higher above was intended to be "hire".

From the boilerplate nutball personal attack the poster descends to corporate-trained-seal grade performance to flail around in the nutball cesspool of illogic compounded by voodoo economic bogusness.

America has come to a sad pass under the hooves of human cattle too blinded by emotion to realize religious nuts and martial music have cut their balls off, rendered them powerless except as a herd, and that today their primary value is near-term political chattel rather than workplace contributors to the future of a great nation.

Sad.

Sarge, looking at your posts above and below this one is heart breaking. Where are the rational measures? Like so many nutball posts, it's all feelings and no substance. Do you get it that results matter? Do you get it that no one can control what they don't or can't measure?

When you or any of the nutball gaggle here start posting facts and numbers instead of emotional horseshit corporations will take you seriously. And so will some individuals. Until then the nutball element shall continue to be herded all over the political AO using your/theiremotional triggers to fill corporate and political bank accounts.

When you can use hard measures to explain how being as skittish as cattle benefits you, the nutball gaggle, and/or the United States, get back to me.

You really do have no clue......My Doctor who is also a friend has already told me that he can no longer afford to pay his staff and add any more Medicare patients to his office. He loses money everytime he treats someone under medicare now.... You know he has to pay the girl on the phone the records clerk the girls who do the triage, The girls in the lab. Then all his equipment and maintenance not to mention the building and grounds maintenance, lights, gas, water....You know all those little things that take most of what comes in......And we can't forget the medical malpractice insurance that takes about half of it because we refuse Tort reform worth anything......... You really do need to think more instead of mouthing off talking points and stupidity...... BTW do you know how much a worker in Europe pass for that single payer BS? I do.......

And you get socialized medicine through the VA for life

See you haven't a clue. I have never even registered with VA, but i do put in several hours of volunteer time each week at a local clinic.... DUH.........

Doesn't matter whether you actually use it. As a vet you have it.

Welllll forgive me!!! Never meant to hurt your sensibilities. :cuckoo:

You sir are not worthy...........And you have a totally fucked up attitude and shit between your ears.

And I doubt i need to explain that any further.

11 years and you haven't a clue why people do it....Damn you are stupid.............

I respond well to stupidity. What you have stated is nothing more than the typical broad brush mentality that is used way too often. You obviously do not know me nor have you understood most of what I have posted. I'm being told that I suck off the government teat and you whip out the broad brush. Go have another beer with Joe.........

Probably should have stopped here before proving yourself a fool or a willful liar. My proposition to YOU was about results. There was nothing from me to suggest that if you were a lifer you are lying about not getting socialized pension benefits whether from the VA or some other entitlement arm of the government.

In sum, that you self-identify with nutballs says nothing about me. That you misrepresent my post says plenty about you.

Be careful! We have posters on here who will lambaste you for such errors.

and you have to love the parrots who tell our vets they are receiving Socialized medicine all their lives..

frikken stupid people

I apologize for the spelling thing. That was wrong. Your civility is humbling.

As to the rest, you are smarter than that and we both know it.

And all this about tax cuts don't work......I wonder why it is that New York State is advertising on National TV that they are giving tax breaks to businesses?

And all this about tax cuts don't work......I wonder why it is that New York State is advertising on National TV that they are giving tax breaks to businesses?

Because they don't work.

Get it?

FTR, the Northeast and Midwest didn't start seeing their manufacturing base being hollowed out 10-15 years ago because of China. They started seeing it 40-50 years ago as manufacturers started moving to the South where states were more pro-business and less pro-union. That created a boom in the South and hence the name "Rust Belt."

Now, because of fracking, we're starting to see manufacturing jobs come back to the US.

you have to go in more detail, how does fracking equal more manufacturing jobs? all it is, is pulling oil out of the ground. Construction jobs and the like, not manufacturing jobs....

We have new machine shop and a pipe mill all due to fracking. About 400 new jobs just there, I'm sure there is a lot more involved.........

sorry I forgot about that....

Capitalism = Capital assets (means of production) owned by some of us.

Socialism = Capital assets (means of production) owned by all of us.

Competition and regulation = what makes capitalism work for we, the people.

Work = the production of wealth through the investment of effort and skill.

Money = a representation of wealth that's easily exchanged.

Corporation = an organization binding together all of the means of demand creation and satisfaction: product and production design, capital, labor, input material, energy supply, waste disposal, logistics, marketing, customers, administration in a way that distributes the value to the customer of the wealth created equitably among the contributers.

Union = an organization binding together workers to be represented collectively for negotiating the distributing of the value of the wealth that they created, equitably.

Workers = Contributors of skills and effort to wealth production.

Shareholders = Entities that exchange ownership of the capital assets (means of production) of corporations.

Comments? Other useful definitions. Agreement/disagreement?

No agenda. Just want to see what we agree, disagree on.

The thing I've noticed in my 12 step recovery from being a Republican is that the GOP, since 1980 at least, has divided itself into Rich Issues vs. Rube Issues.

And it's really easy to tell them apart.

A Rich Issue is one where only the 1% really benefits, the rest of us are left holding the bag, but the GOP will act on these things like they are top priorities and their mouthpieces on Hate Radio and Faux News will spend a lot of time convincing you that you have a stake at the table.

Examples- Tax Cuts for Rich People. Free Trade. Right to Work. At Will Employment.

A Rube issue is one that people get emotionally invested in, but the GOP isn't really the least bit interested in changing things on them. Instead, these are issues that are meant to keep you truly upset about something and voting against your own economic issues, and they are never mentioned again until the next election-

Examples - Abortion. Gay Marriage. Creationism. Prayer in Schools. The needle hasn't moved one inch on most of these issues, or if it has moved (as in the case of gay marriage) its been in the opposite of the desired direction.

There are some cavaets, of course. Guns might seem on the surface to be a "Rube" issue, but it's really a "rich" issue. It's about the gun companies being able to sell to someone like Nancy Lanza, and screw the consequences. There wouldn't be as big a market for the rich to make money off the guns if the rubes weren't kept really scared all the time, so you have to make it easy for crooks to get guns.

Immigration is another one. ON the surface, you keep the rubes angry about "those people" wanting to take their jobs, but the Rich are the ones offering the jobs to "those people". Not just the 20 or so illegals who are already here, but the 1.25 million "legal" immigrants who get entry visas from employers because they claim up and down they can't find a qualified American. No, really.

When I stopped being a Republican is when I realized I had nothing in common with the "rich" and refused to be a "Rube".
Sounds like you joined the rubes.

Perhaps you should practice a 12 step program for your mind altering abuse problem.

Original thinkers know that the problem is government, not free enterprise.

One wonders HOW original thinkers know government is problem? What are the, oh, pick-a-number, say, 12, steps supporting that claim?

Rationale behind the question: intelligent thinkers using hard measures suggest the United States' economic problems derive from multiple sources.
Here is a system any number of intelligent people use...

Oh, boo. hooo, the poor doctors, they can't afford a Yatch and a Dressage Horsie this year.

Booo hooo....

Reality check, numbnuts. The Europeans have figured this out. So have the Canadians and the Japanese. The spend less, living longer and less of their babies die in infancy.

Bullshit, I happen to have 2 sons living in Europe, over half their pay goes out in taxes, over 50%......And they damned sure aren't rich.........Now who do you think spends less? What do you think all those taxes are for? And no that does not include sales taxes and fuel taxes and property taxes.....

You want their system, go for it...They might let you in.......

Or we can just fix this one to make it more like theirs.

Point is, on per capital medical spending- which is what I was talking about in this context - we spend more than any other country in the world. And what do we get for it.

46 million Americans uninsured.
25 million Americans under-insured.
62% of bankruptcies caused by medical crisis.
Lowest life expectency in the INdustrialized world.
Highest infant mortality rate in the industrialized world.
