Republicans: why raising taxes on the wealthy is good for the economy

Look, right over there , see him ?

You make up crap and I call you on it and I'm the moron? I'm a moron because I bother to respond to you. T rue.

I make up crap? Then you show me all the successful men and women that lost jobs to outsourcing replaced those lost jobs with equally successful jobs in the same field. Back up that mouth boy !

start here ..

You made a claim. You support it, hairboy. You cant. You made shit up.

I just did. Pay attention Doltboi.
You did no such thing. You are a pathetic ignorant loser. The only worse is me, because I botehr to respond to your crap and point out how wrong you are.

English?

psssssst.. you ain't gettin' no respect you idgit.

"Probably"? That's the best you can do? What a washout. Come back when you have something to debate with other than your ass.
Here you go:

The tally is based on research into Clinton’s speaking fees and the advance she received for her new book, “Hard Choices,” about her four years as America’s top diplomat.
Hillary Clinton earned 12 million in 16 months - NY Daily News

Why do you ask, you never seem to care HOW people make money.
You understand that speaking fees and a book advance are not consulting for several companies, right? Tell me you're not that stupid and you admit you pulled the first part out of your ass.
You're some kind of special retard aren't you. You take issue with the word 'probably' and then accuse me of pulling facts out of my ass. I've actually got better things to do than research for a throw away question. So tell me why it matters. The pertinent point is that she made $12 million and probably only took home 7 of it. You seem to think the taxes would discourage her from working. Why should she bother? Do you think for $7 million, you could show up? She apparently considers it worth her time.
So I caught you slinging lies and it's my fault? Im the retard here? No, no, son. You throw shit around because you dont have a clue what the reality is.
And the reality is that high income people have a lot of discretion in how much they earn and how they distribute that over the calender. You cannot refute it because it is simply fact.
And in this case, what difference does that discretion make?
Rabbi? Still there? It must make some major difference considering the level of importance you put on it. Are you furiously Googling so as not to lose face?

also to say imitate Germany is silly given that in 2007 their total tax take was $538 bilion euro while ours was $4 trillion. on per capita basis our tax in $13,300 while theirs is $10,000. Our taxes are higher than Germany's by 30%, not lower as libs would have you beleive..

What do liberals think when they hear about the appalling waste, inefficiency, and outright corruption in the VA (Department of Veterans Affairs)? We all know about the recent revelations about the VA's horrible state of affairs. Do we need to tax the rich more so that we can increase the VA's funding?

And how about the chronic waste and cost overruns in HUD? Do we need to raise taxes on the rich so we can pour more money into HUD?

How about the Department of Agriculture, which was forced to admit a few years ago that it could not account for about one billion dollars? The department literally "misplaced" a billion dollars through a series of accounting and funding snafus. Do we need to raise taxes on the rich so we can sink more money into an agency that "misplaced" a billion dollars?

Shall we talk about Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and their catastrophic intervention in the home loan and housing sectors? Do we need to raise taxes on the rich so we can spend more money to finance or guarantee the high-risk home loans that Freddie and Fannie are still backing?

I think you get the idea. Several watchdog groups, such as Citizens Against Government Waste, have documented hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of waste in federal agencies and programs. Until the government gets serious about operating efficiently and frugally, it is crazy to talk about raising taxes on anyone.

You guys do it all the fucking time. Either that or take the tack on how unfair it is that some people have to pay more taxes than others.
Nope.
Mere assertion fallacy.
Rabbi Rules! Chewck my sig line.
Uh huh. So refresh my memory, why is it that you think lowering taxes would be desirable?
Because lower tax rates generally create incentives to work harder and keep more of the money you make. Higher income people working harder creates opportunities for lower income people to earn more. THis is pretty elemental. Except if you're stupid.

Are you saying rich people could be more productive if we would just stop taxing them so much?

The rich are doing great you idiot! My brother just bought some property because he's sitting on cash and banks aren't giving shit. He didn't start a business or hire anyone.

On the other hand the real estate guy made a commission.

All I know is my brother doesn't work 500 x harder than his employees but he does make 500x more. They need to give some of that to his employees. Why do the ceo's and vp"'s think they deserve all the spoils.

Didn't pirate captains share their booty with their crew?

Stop crying about what's fair. What works is what you should be asking. Spread the wealth. Its not socialism. They can still make 400x or 300x more than us but 500x doesn't work.
Brother in law envy. How ugly. Hint: Not every high income person is your brother in law.
Dolt.

He's my brother and I'm very proud. I have everything I need and most of what I want.

Just make no mistake their taxes are eventually go up but don't worry you dont make enough so won't affect you.

Nothing personal.

What you take home after taxes is yours. We just think you need to pay more taxes. Not you but your slave masters.

What the government takes in the form of taxes is ALSO mine, I fucking earned it, not the government.

The government needs it so they can pay Walmart workers so the Waltons can make billions.
the jobs at walmart were designed to be filled by high school kids, college kids, and in some cases the mentally challenged. Why are adults willing to take a job where they can be replaced by a high school junior?

And don't give me the old..."there are no jobs for them"..

During prosperous times, they were taking those same jobs at Walmart.

Tax dollars shouldn't be subsidizing the Waltons. If they do a good enough job to make the Waltons billions they must not be so bad.
they do a job that a high school junior can do...it does not take much to do a good job when stocking goods...it simply takes the ability to get to work on time.
The question is why do they take those jobs....not why the waltons don't pay them more. They don't have to pay them more. A high school junior would be thrilled to make 8 bucks an hour stocking goods on a shelf.

They said the same thing about ford workers but they make $30 hr. You jealous?

Good question why did they take those jobs. Because all the jobs for people like them went overseas and now they compete with illegals for jobs.

This is exactly what the GOP wants.

The masses in america are going to be low skilled. You want them all to make less and I want them to make more. My way produces a better economy.

I want smart government that regulates within a way that benefits this country. The top 1% shouldn't be stealing so much from the rest of the country...People that work hard should get what they deserve.

We should all have nice streets, bridges as well as the best standards on this planet. I am sick of losertrians dreaming of Haiti.
So please...define "work hard"....

I hear it all the time..."Hard working Americans..."

Let me tell you something....a hard working American is not an American who works at walmart 35 hours a week stocking shelves. That is a "working American"....

A hard working American is one who takes that job at walmart in the evenings for the extra money he needs as he/she works during the day in a career position at the ground level in the hopes that his work ethic and dedication will be recognized offering him/her an opportunity for growth.

Anyone who takes a job at Walmart stocking shelves from 8 to 4 everyday with an hour lunch and two 15 minute breaks and then goes home for the evening to get ready for the next day?

Is by no means a hard working American.

He or she is a working American.

I think if they are doing half as much as you but you make 3 times as much you are overpaid.

No shit. Or mexico. They want to turn us into mexico. Only we'll be sneaking into Canada or sending our children in for their free healthcare. Lol. I'll have a baby in Canada so they can't kick me out. Ha!

Why should the rich pay so little? At a time when infrastructure is going to crap, our educational system is falling apart and we're losing ground in science. You support doing nothing.

I've come to the conclusion that the super rich are nothing more than traitors and parasites on our society if this is what they wish for it.

Just so you know you are not alone.

Want to know why they get away with it? Too many americans think voting doesn't matter.

So honestly sometimes I say fuck the Walmart and MCD workers because they don't vote. Don't vote then you don't matter.

Simply because we can use the money to build infrastructure, fund our science programs and support the best r&d! Plus, we can pay our police better ;) The right wants something for nothing, while kissing the 1% ass.
The right is so blinded by keeping as much of their income as they can they fail to see the importance of revenue. They don't even realize it makes them mooches for not wanting to cough up money to pay for public schools, infrastructure, and our badass military.

90% of the revenue goes to provide sustenance for ticks on the ass of society.
A grand total of 70 billion is spent on food stamps per year.

Great article. All should read.

Taxing the rich is good for the economy Marketplace.org

"One of the most pernicious economic falsehoods you'll hear during the next seven months of political campaigning is there's a necessary tradeoff between fairness and growth. By this view, if we raise taxes on the wealthy the economy can't grow as fast.

Wrong. Taxes were far higher on top incomes in the three decades after World War II than they've been since. And the distribution of income was far more equal. Yet the American economy grew faster in those years than it's grown since tax rates were slashed in 1981.

This wasn't a post-war aberration. Bill Clinton raised taxes on the wealthy in the 1990s, and the economy produced faster job growth and higher wages than it did after George W. Bush slashed taxes on the rich in his first term.

If you need more evidence, consider modern Germany, where taxes on the wealthy are much higher than they are here and the distribution of income is far more equal. But Germany's average annual growth has been faster than that in the United States.

You see, higher taxes on the wealthy can finance more investments in infrastructure and education, which are vital for growth and the economic prospects of the middle class.

Higher taxes on the wealthy also allow for lower taxes on the middle -- potentially restoring enough middle class purchasing power to keep the economy going."

Do liberals ever get tired of posting their favorite post hoc, ergo propter hoc fallacy?
I really don't think you understand what that fallacy means.

People not much older than high school students are sent into combat zones. Does that mean that it's not worth much?
really?

Do you really think I am stupid? One thing has nothing to do with another.

I am simply saying that a stock boy at walmart is a job for a child who can legally work. You do not need experience and maturity to succeed at it. Thus why they are minimum wage jobs.
Men who before bushanomics wouldn't have dreamed they'd ever work at Walmart are finding themselves working at Walmart.

The economy was working back then. Then the bush economy tanked and you know the rest.

A lot of those jobs came back but now only pay $10 hr. Your way doesn't work ours does.

But this way works for the rich. I know they ain't complaining about the Obama economy. They're doing great. They just tell you your shitty pay is Obamas fault.

You know how the Saudi royal family blames america for their citizens shitty lives? The GOP do the same to voters like you. They fuck you but got you convinced it was Nancy pelosi and fanny Mae. Ur dumb.

Let me explain how it works in retail.....for those that are motivated....they start stocking shelves...usually at 16 years old. They graduate high school...and all the while show dedication. They do not call in sick on Mondays and Fridays...they do not count their sick days to see how they can extend their vacation days...they do not call in once a month because some distant relative who they were "very close to" died...they do not complain about "the hard work".....and then they are promoted to shift supervisor...then department supervisor....then department manager....then assistant store manager...then store manager.....that is how it is supposed to work.

But who do we see protesting their meager salaries? The 35 year old father of 4 who is still a shelf stocker because he uses all of his sick days...interestingly on Fridays and Mondays.....who had to take 10 bereavement days because ...well....his family is close.....who needs every one of his personal days because....well....his job is so demanding....

True story.
Typical right wing antedote attacking the lazy worthless american workers.

Next he'll be talking about american exceptionalism. Lol

Higher taxes on the wealthy promote the wealthy to invest in higher risk investments to meet their financial goals, which tend to be job creating growth investments. Given lower taxes, wealthy people will tend toward low risk investments, which tend to be in more stagnant non-growth industries.

So why should tax payers pay while the Waltons make billions?
ask those that are taking the tax payer money. Ask them why they insist on taking jobs a 16 year old can do and then turn to you and me to support their needs.
What the waltons make is irrelevant.

Question......if you need to have snow shoveled off your driveway....and a 16 year old boy offers to do it for 40 bucks....and a 35 year old man offers to do it for 100 bucks and he says he needs 100 bucks because he has living expenses.......who would you hire?

You guys try to forget bushanomics caused a lot of people to take a step down. Jobs were or are still hard to find. Give you an example. How come we have so many homeless vets? How come they'd rather be homeless than work at Walmart?

Or if even army vets couldn't get jobs at walmart because they were fully staffed then that proves how bad the job prospects are out there.

Anyways minimum wage should be $10 and should be adjusted every 5 years.

Right now the banks are giving less than 1% so I would assume that's getting them to invest in the stock market where they can get some interest.

Or my brother just bought 70 acres because he's got so much money he doesnt know what to do with it. We are going to have so much fun hunting. Were in our 40s and his kids are 10 and 13. We want them to remember the next 10-30(and hopefully more) with us sitting around camp fire telling stories about the one that got away. Sorry got off track.

You're kidding me, right? Unlike you I dont need to Google everything. I learned it at one time.
What difference does it make? I already told you what difference it makes. Are you that stupid you can't keep track of the conversation?
