That's a shame. I always thought he never got the recognition he really deserved as a guitarist. He was amazing.
I forgot the magazine but they did a interview with him at his home and had pictures of his, I don't know what else to call it but a mad scientists lab. He had amps he sawed holes in and had crazy vacuum tubes modded in, guitars he cut to pieces and modified back and all kinds of experimental shit he did.
He forgot more about guitars than most new.
This whole thing still amazes me
