Sorry to say, Democrats are proving to be totally inept.
Look at 5 responses against Trump's dangerous and divisive State of the Union address.
Was that Vaseline smeared all over Kennedy's mouth? It made him look like he has cold sores. And after Little Marco's water and that gay guy's wife, Mrs. Bachmann who stared off into space, the Democrats should have known better.
Clearly, the Democrats are way better at running the government but terrible at campaigning. The opposite is true for the GOP.
So who is actually saving our system of government from theocratic Republicans who are desperately trying to create a kind of plutocratic theocracy? Why it's Mueller and Rosenstein, both lifelong Republicans.
It's not the first time Republicans have caused this much, or more damage. They cherry picked a report on Iraq and even flat out lied (see Cheney) us into Iraq.
And look how that turned out.
The difference here is that other Republicans are jumping into the fray. Look at Devin Nunez. Because he is in congress, he has immunity in many ways. But if he coordinates with the Trump administration in ways that could be considered outside his job, he become vulnerable to obstruction of justice.
The House could release Trump's tax returns. Let the American people see what Trump has been up to. If he is so innocent it shouldn't be a problem. But Ryan has blocked any bills or resolutions that would release those returns.
If Democrats take over the house in November, then the new speaker will have the authority to do what has been expected all along. Until then, we depend on Republicans like Mueller and Rosenstein.
