Zone1 Serious Question About Abortion

Her Body. Her choice.

As somebody already said it takes two to tango and he chose to have sex with her as well.
So just ban abortion.

Except for under some very rare circumstances like rape, incest, and life-threatening situations. I would never do it regardless of the situation, but it doesn't mean that it should be banned completely either.

And that’s exactly what I say.

If she didn’t want to take care of her kid, she should thought of that before she had sex.

So just ban abortion.

Dumb idea. First, it's kind of silly that people who don't trust the government to teach kids about sex are the same lot that want government deciding when abortion is "appropriate".

Secondly, how do you enforce it.

Take the Philippines. They have EXACTLY the kinds of laws you guys want. And Filipinos are a LOT more religious than Americans are. Yet is it estimated that Filipinas have 500K to 800K illegal abortions every year.

Except for under some very rare circumstances like rape, incest, and life-threatening situations. I would never do it regardless of the situation, but it doesn't mean that it should be banned completely either.

Okay. Then every woman who wants an abortion will now claim she was raped. She gets the abortion and then drops the charges.

Well let me tell you when attacking and killing another human being is appropriate and not murder, then, because it’s the exact same standard.

Great reason not to have a “rape exception,” then, huh?

And if you make one anyway, despite them being awful and immoral and unjust to the abortion victims who did nothing wrong, you could require a conviction. And false allegations of rape should carry the same sentence as a rape, so add that onto her murder charges when you put her away.

As far as legal goes, if women can make a decision on what happens to the child without the fathers input, then men should have the right to a financial abortion and opt out of child support if they so choose.

only if the States allow it to be.

Not really.

A law isn't a law if it isn't enforced.

If DA's won't prosecute, Cops won't make arrests, and juries won't convict, then what is the point of having a law.

Prostitution is illegal in my state. Yet we have a whole lot of strip joints, massage parlors, escort services, adult book stores where people exchange sex for money.

Why?

Because a large percentage of the population disregards such laws. The cops don't consider it worth their time to bust them unless they become a nusciance.

They already do.

Wow, that sounds awfully convoluted, doesn't it? Only 3% of rapists ever see the inside of a jail cell as it is now.

Great reason to mind your own business, then, huh?

They already do.
No, men are required by law to pay child support. Just because some break the law doesn’t mean the laws aren’t in place.

Nice “try”?.. I guess

LMAO.. only if you include “looking at a woman for more then 3 seconds” as rape.

You can’t be serious

Laws that aren't enforced aren't laws at all. That's kind of the point I was trying to get across to you.

Most men pay child support because it's the right thing to do, and they want to have some kind of relationship.
The ones who don't, walk away with few consequences, usually because it ends up costing more to prosecute than you'll ever get out of him.

Actually study the stats.. I was being generous with 3%.

If they’re enforced once, it’s a law. And you can look it up.

Men routinely go to jail for not paying child support. Why the downplaying?

Thats as bad as jury nullification.

The republic model for medical decisions.

In the room are you, your doctor and a local elected official. Why? Because freedumb ain't free.

The difference is some people consider the fetus to be another person, with rights of their own.

That you can't understand that, or don't want to understand that, shows you refuse to address the actual argument.
