So let's say Iran gets a bomb. Unlikely, mind you, because with increased inspections and trade-offs they are making to get sanctions lifted, they are going to find that harder to do.

But let's say they get the bomb. What are they going to do with it?

Iran's best missile can hit Israel, but it can barely hit Europe and can't hit the US. If they launched a missile at anyone, they'd get paid back 100 times by a retaliatory strike. so what does a bomb get them, exactly?

Okay. So really, nobody can get to be President of this country unless the Ayatollahs of Wall Street approve of him, so how is that any different?

I personally wouldn't want to live under "Religious Law", but since 99% of the population of Iran is Muslim, (95% Shi'a Islam), I'm not seeing that as a problem.

Here's the real deal. We propped up the Shah, who was a corrupt ruler for decades, and he oppressed anyone who was a legitimate source of opposition EXCEPT for the Clergy, which he couldn't touch. So of course, the Shi'a Clergy became a power center.

But they have elections, and most of the day to day running of the country is done by elected officials.
