So, why do the stupid left wingers think the democrat "debate" is on a Saturday night?

Damn you're dumb. The lie that's been repeated over and over is that Al said he invented the internet. That is a lie. What's not a lie is that he was one of the first political leaders to recognize the importance of the Internet and to promote and support its development...therefore he helped create the internet in an economic and legislative sense.

End of fucking story.
I'm the dumb one but you're arguing with a lie you've seen while responding to me? I said he took credit for creating the internet, which he did. End of story.

As he should. End story.
Coming up with funding gets to credit for the creation?

How many fucking times do I need to repeat myself before it sinks into your thick skull?

He was one of the first political leaders to recognize the importance of the Internet and to promote and support its development...therefore he helped create the internet in an economic and legislative sense.
That isn't what he said. Nice try.

Then WTF are you trying to say?

You are an idiot. He should get credit where credit is due.

As far back as the 1970s Congressman Gore promoted the idea of high speed telecommunications as an engine for both economic growth and the improvement of our educational system. He was the first elected official to grasp the potential of computer communications to have a broader impact than just improving the conduct of science and scholarship. Though easily forgotten, now, at the time this was an unproven and controversial concept. Our work on the Internet started in 1973 and was based on even earlier work that took place in the mid-late 1960s. But the Internet, as we know it today, was not deployed until 1983. When the Internet was still in the early stages of its deployment, Congressman Gore provided intellectual leadership by helping create the vision of the potential benefits of high speed computing and communication. As an example, he sponsored hearings on how advanced technologies might be put to use in areas like coordinating the response of government agencies to natural disasters and other crises.

As a Senator in the 1980s Gore urged government agencies to consolidate what at the time were several dozen different and unconnected networks into an "Interagency Network." Working in a bi-partisan manner with officials in Ronald Reagan and George Bush's administrations, Gore secured the passage of the High Performance Computing and Communications Act in 1991. This "Gore Act" supported the National Research and Education Network (NREN) initiative that became one of the major vehicles for the spread of the Internet beyond the field of computer science.

Internet of Lies

And he should get some credit in an economic and legislative sense. He never said he invented the internet, so you just keep repeating that lie.
You're the liar.

Al Gore claimed responsibility for creation of the Internet-Truth!

The Truth:

This comes from a television interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that was aired on March 9,1999. TruthOrFiction.com has a transcript of the entire broadcast. Vice President Gore was not yet a formal candidate for the presidency, but was clearly setting the stage for it, and Blitzer’s questions focused on his potential campaign. At one point, Blitzer asked Gore why the Democrats should support him over rival Bill Bradley. Gore answered, “Well, I will — I’ll be offering my vision when my campaign begins, and it’ll be comprehensive and sweeping, and I hope that it’ll be compelling enough to draw people toward it. I feel that it will be. But it will emerge from my dialogue with the American people. I’ve traveled to every part of this country during the last six years. During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.”

He never said he invented the internet...period.

(To those who say the words "create" and "invent" mean exactly the same thing, we have to ask why, then, the media overwhelmingly and consistently cited Gore as having claimed he "invented" the Internet, even though he never used that word, and transcripts of what he actually said were readily available.)

If President Eisenhower had said in the mid-1960s that he, while president, "took the initiative in creating the Interstate Highway System," he would not have been the subject of dozens and dozens of editorials lampooning him for claiming he "invented" the concept of highways or implying that he personally went out and dug ditches across the country to help build the roadway. Everyone would have understood that Ike meant he was a driving force behind the legislation that created the highway system, and this was the very same concept Al Gore was expressing about himself with his Internet statement.

Internet of Lies
....spin....spin....spin. I said he took credit for it and now you're going full auto claiming I said something else and arguing semantics.
