That is already in the works, now that the 2nd has been incorporated by the 14th amendment.

How about a revision of the 2nd that specifies current SCotUS holdings regarding the protection of the individual right as well as specification as to what constitutes an infringement -- registration, licensing, waiting periods, storage requirements, limits on the number of guns you can buy/have, mandatory training, bans on any sort of firearms or ammunition, taxation of same, etc.

Think the antii-gun/pro gun control side would be willing to give that in exchange for, say, universal background checks?
