Um....last year, when I was disgusted by the GOP and announced I was no longer voting for Republicans, I was ripped and ridiculed more severely than any Democrat. I did NOT "stand behind party no matter what they do". I did exactly the opposite of what you are bashing Democrats for, and I was ripped to shreds on here by right wingers.

Its easy to criticize others for what you call blind loyalty. What you are really pissed about, however, is that you can't draw them over to your side, with your ideas. In fact, you are pushing your own people away, like myself.

This nation began with liberal ideas and since that time has grown even more liberal. The Republicans have done all in their power to stop that liberalism and maybe that's their only job: slow down liberalism? Gridlock; useless wars; making the rich richer; the House of Reps shouting no no no; using fear such the McCarthy period to slow progress, does work, but slowing down progress may not be the best ticket for winning elections. What is the Republican plan to improve life for all Americans, not just the rich?

The Republicans try to claim that their ideas will make us all rich, not just the rich...er...rich. That trickle down economics WORKS. Well, trickle down depends on lots of rich individuals making the decision to allow that money to "trickle down". But thats not what happened. Those large numbers of rich individuals didnt trickle it down. They cut wages. Busted unions. Stored huge amounts of money in their company pots. Didnt hire.

Trickle down economics is a great idea, and it would work if all the rich were as generous about trickling it down. But they got rich by being greedy and ruthless. And we expect that to change?

Nobody is comparing blacks to gays. What is compared is discrimination to discrimination. As for the right to marry, it was the SCOTUS that determined it on no less than three occasions.
