The abortion issue troubles me mightily

And for the record, personhood only requires one to be proven as a person in a court of law. Scientifically and legally, DNA does that. It's a person at conception.

Nonsense.

The definition does not dictate WHO is human. For example, did the *definition* of negroes as a higher form of animal make them animals?

No, it didn't. The definitions of "human" and "person" have been changed in the past few decades so that leftist monsters can get away with genocide. In fact, those who commit genocide HISTORICALLY change the *definition* of humanity to mask their intent and clean up their actions.

It doesn't change the reality..scientific and moral...regardless what you call them...unborn children are 100 percent human.

And you should be ashamed of yourself for buying into the disgusting fad of denk4outying them their humanity in order to justify their slaughter. Germans did the same, as did those who slaughtered Indians.
I totally understand your perspective on this.
However, an unborn fetus doesn't have humanity. Seems more of an emotional argument
Does a baby 5 seconds after birth have humanity? How about 5 seconds before birth? If yes to the first question and no to the second, what gave the baby humanity?
Yes
No
The actual birth and independence of life is about my entire argument.
You sound like a lawyer.
No he really doesn't.
He sounds like someone who has relied heavily on abortion to relieve him of the consequences of his exploitation of vulnerable women.
Well... there's that too. I was just trying to say he is making a legal argument.

Socialism intentionally denies examination because it is irrational. There is no formal defined dogma of socialism. Instead there is only a vague, rosy notion of something good, noble and just: the advent of these things will bring instant euphoria and a social order beyond reproach. Socialism seeks equality through uniformity and communal ownership Socialism has an extraordinary ability to incite and inflame its adherents and inspire social movements. Socialists dismiss their defeats and ignore their incongruities. They desire big government and use big government to implement their morally relativistic social policies. Socialism is a religion. The religious nature of socialism explains their hostility towards traditional religions which is that of one rival religion over another. Their dogma is based on materialism, primitive instincts, atheism and the deification of man. They see no distinction between good and evil, no morality or any other kind of value, save pleasure. They practice moral relativity, indiscriminate indiscriminateness, multiculturalism, cultural Marxism and normalization of deviance. They worship science but are the first to reject it when it suits their purposes. They can be identified by an external locus of control. Their religious doctrine is abolition of private property, abolition of family, abolition of religion and equality via uniformity and communal ownership. They practice critical theory which is the Cultural Marxist theory to criticize what they do not believe to arrive at what they do believe without ever having to examine what they believe. They confuse critical theory for critical thinking. Critical thinking is the practice of challenging what one does believe to test its validity. Something they never do.

The law defines "child in utero" as "a member of the species Homo sapiens, at any stage of development, who is carried in the womb."
In 38 States ... The killing of a fetus can be considered and prosecuted as murder.

Nazis worshipped "science" as well. And they used that as an excuse to do disgusting, horrible things to humans...and said that because they weren't quite as *human* as the aryans, it was AOK.

jillian didn't the ancient Jewish believe a baby was just mere water before 40 days or so?

I don't know. sorry. what I do know is that the idea is that it isn't a person until the head crowns. I'm pretty much in the... I think people should make their own decisions, with their doctors and the people closest to them. politicians sure shouldn't make those decisions.
I'm pretty sure it was.
No they shouldn't I can't believe we agree on politicians shouldn't be doing something lol

Still waiting to hear why location determines humanity, in your view. If that is not your view, then please address that example I posted called "The two Heathers."
It has nothing to do with geography lol
It's SCIENCE
Your belief couldn't be farther from science. Go talk to an embryologist or pick up any embryology text book. They even have pictures.
We have already had this discussion. You relief on pseudo bullshit as well

Back yourself up. You haven't refuted anything, in fact you haven't even come close to refuting anything.

I'm sorry, but science is not on your side. You can claim that the zygote/embryo/fetus is not worthy of rights (I disagree, but that's a different discussion) but you cannot claim that it is not a human life. That is completely false and ignorant.

You mean the scientific definition of life? Guilty as charged.

Can you even back up your BS with something more than your say so? Your word doesn't mean much to me if you think we resolved this conversation already.

Living things are made of cells.
Living things obtain and use energy.
Living things grow and develop.
Living things reproduce.
Living things respond to their environment.
Living things adapt to their environment.

Those who support the legality of abortion do not seek to force anything on anyone.

Those who are against the legality actively seek to control others, and the full heat of their wrath falls on the poor and working class.
If Republicans really cared about children and women, they would make it easier for the unfortunate women to give birth knowing their children will be taken care of and they will be helped.

But right here on the USMB, Republicans feel forcing a woman to have that baby will "teach her a lesson" and her punishment is that baby.

Imagine growing up knowing you're existence was a punishment. At least we'll know where criminals will be coming from.

After fertilization has taken place a new human being has come into being...[this] is no longer a matter of taste or opinion, it is not a metaphysical contention, it is plain experimental evidence. An individual human life begins at conception when a sperm cell from the father fuses with an egg cell from the mother, to form a new cell, the zygote, the first embryonic stage. The zygote grows and divides into two daughter cells, each of which grows and divides into two grand-daughter cells, and this cell growth/division process continues on, over and over again. The zygote is the start of a biological continuum that automatically grows and develops, passing gradually and sequentially through the stages we call foetus, baby, child, adult, old person and ending eventually in death. The full genetic instructions to guide the development of the continuum, in interaction with its environment, are present in the zygote. Every stage along the continuum is biologically human and each point along the continuum has the full human properties appropriate to that point.

So after losing the science debate it is on to your next logical fallacy straw-man of your own making? Well... that is easier than making a cogent argument.

I bet TN wants to get in on some of this... oh wait.. no he doesn't.

Definitions are powerful.

Prolife people tend to define the unborn fetus as the most innocent, a human being that has the right to life just like the rest of us.

Pro-choice people tend to define the unborn fetus as a clump of cells in a woman's body that has no more rights than the woman's appendix.

If you want to understand both sides of the issue, look at the issue through the prism of both those definitions.

Think about what pro-life people want to do to healthcare and laws about religious freedom then reread the definition post.

They seek to control and limit your choices in life.

150 years ago Democrats thought that some human lives were property to be disposed of at the will of its owner.

Looks like nothing has changed.

Sad but true. But to be fair, there are Democrat and liberal pro-lifers. As well as atheist pro-lifers, etc.
