I thought we were all in it together. Are you saying that progressives on the left might have actually supported the the Soviet Union all those years while they pretended to be Americans? It seems that the left admits that the "socialism, communism and progressive green" is actually tied together in a progressive movement.

Those who claim their religious rights are being infringed upon by gay marriage have no idea what real lack of freedom looks like, but those coming from oppressive dictatorships sure do, as do those who live in danger for their lives, like the people who sent their children to the US from Honduras. Watching Americans whine and complain about these children and how much they were going to cost the taxpayers, was disgusting. Poor countries take in refugees, sometimes numbering in the millions, all of the time and they don't whine and complain about the costs. The richest country in the world should be have accepted these children willingly and done what they could for them.

The Congressional Progressive Caucus strongly supported a single payer system and strongly opposed the plan being pushed by the President and Sen. Max Baucus... "a mandate for Americans to purchase an insurance plan from a massive new regulatory “exchange"...

The Progressives you claim control the Democratic Party not only couldn't get single payer passed, they couldn't even get a "public option" in the bill.

Instead, the Democratic Party you "claim" has been taken over by Progressives passes a carbon copy of the 1993 Republican health care bill sponsored by Sen. John Chafee, R-R.I., during the Clinton presidency, the Health Equity and Access Reform Today Act of 1993.

Democrats blocked single payer, as well as public option. Obama wouldn't even weigh in on whether he supported the public option. Dem opposition was overcome by the Cornhusker kickback and the louisiana purchase, as well as other bribes.
And no, any GOP proposal was not identical to Obamacare. Hell, Obamacare is not identical to Obamacare, as Obama has issued so many EOs and waivers the present law hardly resembles what was passed.
