yes. 84 Republicans signed documents in seven states that Trump actually lost, but these forgeries were sent to Congress to be read and counted on January 6 and they claimed that Trump had won their state.Were any documents actually faked or forged?
And on January 6 according to Trump’s lawyer that is written in a memo for Trump, Mike Pence was expected to see the fake Trump certificates of electors and declare that since there are two sets of electors (one real and one fake in each of the seven states) Those states electors will not be counted. So when seven states that Biden won are taken away because of the fake fraudulent certificates of electors, Mike Pence was expected to declare Trump and himself the winner.
So yes this effort to intentionally create faked certificates stating Trump won states that he lost, had a purpose which was to defraud the federal government so Trump could stay in power four more years, That is a crime.
