The Republican War On Women

Mitt's wife is absolutely correct.
Unfortunately.....she's married to a good-Christian-MAN.....and, is pretty-much required to....

(....If she knows what's good for her; traditionally-speaking.)

Speaking as a woman, I am absolutely 100% with Mrs. Romney that my No. 1 concern is the economy. Until that is fixed, no program, initiative, or policy affecting men or women is secure in the face of impending national bankruptcy.

I understand that women, being the gender most likely to be the primary caretaker of their children, feel more vulnerable and at risk than do most men. Thus they are far more likely to cling to the security of government safety nets.

But I deplore the fact that so many women buy into the hype, don't read the bills, don't read past the headlines and therefore are prone to indoctrination and/or media brain washing. They honestly believe the propaganda that the Republicans intend to put women and children at higher risk and aren't even seeing the possibilities that there are better ways to go about it than what the Democrats do and propose. I hate the fact that my gender can sometimes be so ill informed or so easy fooled.

But don't put me in that group. I have managed to have a satisfying career (a number of them actually) while raising my kids who now have satisfying careers of their own. Almost all the jobs I've held for most of my working career have been jobs typically held by men. But I managed to hold my own, was paid the same as the guys are paid, and know that there are no artificial barriers to women achieving whatever success they want to achieve.

Three cheers for Republicans who see me as an equal instead of an incapable, vulnerable, victim in need of protection and rescue.

Mitt's wife is absolutely correct. So why has the Republican Party been flooding with women's health care bills?
Ummm, because Obamacare is phasing in and there are issues with it.

No surprise, because those who passed it couldn't be bothered with fucking reading it.

.....'Cause, when presented with....

....."conservatives"....

.....uhhhhhh, forget to debate the subject.

"WOW!!! Lookit those "conservatives" HAUL-ASS!!!"

There is no war on women. Though I know you wish there was.

This is what makes it so much the worse, many of them CLEARLY don't realize they've waged war on women. Including many of the deranged lunatic fringe RW women in the camp.

Sad, very sad.

:( *SMH*

Just because you say it, does not make it so.

Can you give us a clear example of this so called war on woman? I have dug and dug but cannot find anything that says what your a claiming to be true. Please, help us out here. Tells us about this war.

Right. What wound up passing is not what Rep England was shooting for.

Right...so essentially what is going on is that the media (at least some in the media) are spinning this bill. They are reporting that the bill passed, they are reporting on England's comments, but not pointing out that England's goal was not part of the bill. The result is that it appears as though Georgia passed a bill according to England's plan, which is not the case.
This is why I ALWAYS read the actual bill. More times than not, the media is wrong or is flat out lying what a bill says.

It honestly does get absurd and ridiculous sometimes. And the scary and really sad part is that so many who read the tripe then believe it and repeat it as fact.

An illustration of how it works that came in my e-mail this morning:

A Harley biker is riding by the zoo in Washington , DC when he sees a little girl leaning into the gorilla's cage.

Suddenly, the gorilla grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the gorilla square on the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain the gorilla jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.

A reporter has watched the whole event. The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I've seen a man do in my whole life.'

The Harley rider replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really, the gorilla was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.'

The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page. You are truly a hero and deserve recognition. So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?'

The biker replies, 'I'm a U.S. Marine and a Republican.'

The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys the paper to see news of his actions,

and reads, on the front page:

U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS
AFRICAN IMMIGRANT,
AND STEALS HIS LUNCH!!

That's not evidence of a 'war on women'.

Are you a woman?

Nope. I have a sister and a wife; I also managed the Domestic Violence programs for my agency, wrote and managed VAWA grants and spent a good deal of time with Women's groups,I transported victims to secure areas so the women staff could safely take victims to shelters, and coordinated with probation, prosecutors, anger management providers and the courts.

Would you prefer a euphemism? How about instead of a war on women we call it a suspension of the rights of women to control their lives? Better?

I just now noticed you responded to my post and the link in under a minute. Nice, you sure evaluated the 'not evidence'.

I have a wife and daughters.......

Lemme guess.....they're (both) blind?

So we are waging a war without knowing about it? How exactly does that work?

It's a made up war, ever see the movie "Wag the dog". Obama and his cronies love shit like this, create a problem that is not there and come to the rescue of said strawmen. It's pathetic, and for them to insinuate that woman are that stupid to believe such nonsense speaks volumes in itself for the mentality of these people. I am sure woman will remember this in November and vote accordingly against them.

There is absolutely no doubt that the right is waging a war on women - and I believe that will be made crystal clear in November.

By then, the whole thing will have blown over and we will back to the business of showing what a piss-poor job our current loser in chief has done.

And he'll be done.

Women who have been hurt by this economy will vote their pocketbooks first.

Exactly, it's the woman who in this economy do most of the grocery shopping the balancing of the checkbooks, they have seen grocery prices skyrocket and the price of energy going up, they know first hand about this administrations faults when it comes to this economy. I think that is the biggest reason the left have launched said made up war, to try and swing the vote. And it wont happen.

Boy if that aint ever the truth.

WASHINGTON -- A group of Virginians has formed a political action committee to defeat state lawmakers who have been going after access to abortion and contraception, planning to support pro-choice men and women to take their place.

The Women's Strike Force will be raising money and actively recruiting candidates of all political parties who support women's reproductive rights.

Leslie Byrne, the first woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Virginia, is one of the leaders of the PAC.

"A number of us were bemoaning the fact that the Virginia legislature had turned into a cross between a frat house and a clown college," she said. "We decided to do something about it. Many of us had been in these wars since the '70s -- and fought for ourselves and our friends in the '70s, our daughters in the '80s and '90s and now it looks like we're fighting for our granddaughters."

Women's Strike Force: Pro-Choice PAC Starts Up In Virginia To Defeat Backers Of Ultrasound Legislation

Sounds to me like the minority mentality getting together to try and overturn the peoples will. The Virginia legislators where voted in by the majority in Virginia, not the ass clowns having rallies outside. Nothing will change in Virginia, because the people have spoken and this is the choice they made "To do the right thing".

I've never seen "Wag the Dog" before.

I just looked it up on IMDB and it sounds cool. If it's not on Netflix I'm going to buy the DVD.

You cant go wrong with a De Niro/Hoffman flick....

No. They won't.

And that's why Romney will lose.

Chuck Todd was talking this morning about how they don't see this "rage" holding very long. But you keep kidding yourself.

I'll the first to wish Obama well as he departs for Chicago next year.

They cannot sustain their rage because it is a manufactured rage. If it was a pure grassroots movement it might be different, but when you have to bus in street bums and welfare recipients and pay them to be there and they dont know what is going on or really just dont give a shit, how long can it last? The left is a joke, and everybody is laughing at them.

Another liberal woman who is a liberal before she's a woman. Now granted most of the Republican women I know don't don't give a rats ass what you think, but they also don't support the idiotic idea that women aren't intelligent enough to be diverse enough......
Uhhhhhhhhhhhh......better re-check those Teabaggers....who (just) recently "woke-up".....after a Black-dude won The Presidency.

How do you people account for the lack of women votes, time and time and time again?

How about the fact that, at this current time, the Republican Party is HEMORAGING the female vote?

Hmmmm....!!?!???

Where is the proof of the lack of woman votes? Or are you making shit up again? Oh, let me guess, it's an issue that can neither be proven or not proven kind of like the whole "Save or create" bullshit.
Games over Marc, the people are onto the gimmicks and dont buy into it.

I agree the rage won't last. But the issues will. And if you think women will vote against their best interest and the best interest of their children, simply because of a weak economy, then you're simply not thinking about this at all.

They can vote however they feel. Problem with it is, eventually they will have to live with the consequences. Kinda like we are doing now with Obama.
