The second nurse airlifted to Emory you aren't going to believe your eyes

What are these things..................

Were they used in the video?

That is not the full measure. Something must be inserted into the glove..........What is it.............
You tell me without googling.
aka you don't know. It comes in a packet for your gloves.

Anyone who has worn one of the chemical suits would know what I'm talking about.
Wrong
Here you go

That is a bio suit........Not a chemical suit as worn in the industrial sector regularily........In the Refineries.........You have to insert something in the gloves in these suits............Tell me what is inserted.

What do you think I was talking about?

You basically stated that I've never worn Chem suits, so I'm responding to your BS reply to me................You said you were Hazmat Certified,,,,,,,,Bio or CHEMICAL........

I've already shown the picture of what I'm talking about. We have these in our tool room right now...........

You basically stated I'm lying.......so I'm calling your ass out.

Kapish..........

Dealing with petroleum and nuclear materials isn't the same as biological..the protocol is a lot different.

I replied to him that I'd worn Chemical Suits..............And he basically called me a liar......that's how this started...........And in a refinery some of the potential hazards are Deadly with one SNIFF........I have worn these suits.........and I asked him what was on the Chem suits.....specifically the gloves..........

We insert cones into the gloves.........It is part of the suit. Allows for a snugger fit to the sleeve of the suit.

He's there to keep the people in suits from tripping or getting lost.

He's the official protocol director.

They assume they trapped all of the Ebola inside the suits.
Nobody said he had to be in a level 4 biohazard suit but you'd think that considering everything in the containment unit inside that plane will be disinfected and burned, you might think the guy would at least be dressed in level 1 just in case.

There is something out of place with how the CDC transported this women.

Yup Clipboard guy. When you consider that the inside of that plane will undergo a disinfecting fog and then all the medical equipment stripped and incinerated then disposed as bio waste, that guy in the regular clothes is underdressed.

The guy in the regular clothes is dressed just as he is supposed to be dressed. They want one person escorting them to the plane who has a clear field of vision. The patient is isolated in a biohazard suit.

Were they used in the video?

No they were not............They are used on a normal basis in the industrial environment. For shit that is Fing worse than Ebola.

I stated that I wore these things, and you called me out.........obviously your Hazmat training doesn't apply to refinery work, or Hazard chemical plants.

Fuck Off...........

Don't call me a Liar and we'll not have this exchange. I said Chemical suits.........And you basically called me a liar.........Then you stated Tyvek Suits.......We have them in paper and plastic................We have both versions in our tool room...............

I'm not up to snuff on the bio anymore as I had that type of training between 1984 and 1994...... Which we conducted training on.

The Chem suit was my original response and the cones are part of that suit.

Well if that's the case then why are they going to destroy the containment unit inside the plane if the disease is already contained? Why are those escorting this patient suited up? Because it's not 100 % certain. Again at least cover the guy with a suit glasses and mask. He'd still have a clear field of vision and be a tad bit safer.

I'm not watching that video...because I see the opening picture is a paper suit. We wear them with a respirator inside the furnaces due to refactory fibers..........aka insulation for a giant furnace.................

Why would I go into one of those...............Because there are TI's inside of them welded to the tubes......during shutdowns we replace the ones that are burnt up.............requiring us to go into the furnaces...........some of them are 35 feet long.........It is how they know the temperature of the passes of the furnace.

Quick question MSDS are changing to what in 2016? And will be governed by whom?

ok I apologize I take it that you wear a chem suit.

Don't know and don't fing care........Material Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals we will be dealing with are available to us at any time. All we have to do is ask for a copy and it will be provided.....on hazardous jobs we are required to have a training session for the job, to explain to all who will possibly be in contact with the material.........The hazards and PPE are explained.

Your safety manager hasn't told you that there will no longer be an MSDS after 2016? The material changes everything. The placards will no longer be of use to you. It changes to about 10 pages from 2

We haven't been informed they are changing the format............I don't see any reason to change it anyway as the chemicals are still the same as are the dangers and PPE..............Someone who pushed for this change will be getting his or her Palm greased for the change............The chemicals in the process do not change whether it be 2 pages or 10..........The same precautions will apply when breaking toxic lines, or potential acid splash, or deadly Hydrogen Sulfide, or Benzene, etc....................

It changes nothing but the format and forces the industry to buy a lot of new material and placards.........As I already said, this is about greasing palms and nothing more.........Reality hasn't changed. Only the format and cost increases have changed.
