The Upside of the Theocratic Hobby Lobby Ruling.

It makes it very plain what the Theocratic GOP/Tea Party have in store for this country. A country ruled by the Christian Bible.

And that may well wake up folks in the mid terms.

Amen! This could backfire on Hobby Lobby in a big way - especially with women.

A consequence of their actions. I think HL is primarily motivated by faith, but that has consequences.

The Supreme Court JesusCons are allowing religious nuts to interpret certain laws according to their religious beliefs. Sure reminds me of Sharia Law.

1. The decision is narrow;
2. Those who believe life begins when the egg & sperm unite have the right to so believe;
3. The phrase "racist far left Obama drone" appears in every post by one poster, why?

1. It is not at all "narrow". It puts a religious litmus on health care.
2. It places the religious belief on the employer above the employee.

It's pretty rotten.

And bodes badly for the secular tradition of this country.

Oh, wow! The inability to force someone else to pay for your contraceptives is a real bummer, and that ought to get all the deadbeats in your party agitated.

Next, those religious zealots will be passing laws saying you can't use your welfare card in strip joints. Those bastards.

Or they could go Old School, Christian Style and burn you at the stake.

Or a bit more modern and throw you into an oven. But they seem to have gotten over the "Hate Jews" thing..for now.

1. How so? It only applies to "closely held companies".
2. It only expanded the who can get an exemption that already existed. It didn't create a new exemption.

It bodes well for the Freedom of Religion of this Country.

I didn't fail at anything.

Sure you did, Shallow.

As is clear from this board, you have identity only as a drone of your shameful party. Party is all to you, right and wrong are simply expressions of service to the party or against it.

Your shameful party launched a full scale assault on the 1st Amendment. Your party lost - ergo you lost.

50% of American labor works at a "closely held corporation".

This is a very big deal.

Maybe you can take up arms and defeat the Bill of Rights with violence? You lost in court.

Additionally? You didn't address any of the points I made.

I'll have to scroll back, I've NEVER seen you make a point - EVER. You are 100% mindless hack.

Prediction:

1) Some liberal group encourages like-minded consumers to boycott Hobby Lobby.

2) Conservatives scream "attack on the 1st Amendment and freedom of religion".

3) I point out that the 1st Amendment does not protect you from the free speech and expression of those who don't agree with you-- public backlash.

Down the road...

4) Conservative Groups boycott a business that carries or promotes Plan-B, perhaps demand that Government regulate that business, stop them from selling legal goods that consumers want to buy.

This just shows how delusional you are.

If Progs wish to boycott Hobby Lobby, they are perfectly free to do so. Their boycott wouldn't infringe on anyone's First Amendment rights. The HL owners would still be able to speak freely and to practice their religious beliefs.

In typical Prog fashion, you interpret disagreement and criticism with restrictions on liberty. They are not at all equivalent.

Again, it affects alot of employees. And that exemption applied to actual religious organizations, not for profits.

Freedom of Religion was meant for people. Not corporations.

And freedom of religion stops when it takes someone else's rights away.

Since no one, including you or anyone on the left side of the Supreme Court showed where anyone rights have been taken away, why do you keep saying that?

What rights are "taken away" when an employer is not forced to buy you what you want?

What right to you fantasize that you have to force others to buy you what you want?

{ The Internal Revenue Service defines a closely held company as a corporation that has more than 50% of the value of its outstanding stock directly or indirectly owned by five or fewer individuals at any time during the last half of the tax year. It also cannot be a personal-service corporation.}

Hobby Lobby Ruling Raises Question: What Does 'Closely Held' Mean? - WSJ

So we are talking family businesses. You think that everyone is property of the state, to do with as our rulers see fit. Therefore, once a person opens a business, they forfeit all civil rights - of course you fight to eradicate civil rights in general, in service to your filthy party.

The court simply upheld the constitution and acknowledged that people retain civil rights even when they run a business.

So, any guesses as to when Hobby Lobby pulls a Chick-fil-A and caves hard?

Sucks for the poor righties. Nobody pays attention to their boycotts, but boycotts from the left get results. Shows where the numbers are, at least the numbers of people with money to spend.

Yeah, how'd the left's boycott of Chik-Fil-A work out?

Very well...for Chik-Fil-A.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

When did Stupid become a race?

Stupid. :lol:

So at least you admit you are stupid!

However it goes to show that you are still a racist far left Obama drone only armed with propaganda from you far left religious leaders.

The stupid and hypocritical part is you follow with out question or hesitation and try and bash others that do not follow your religion.

You have trouble with English?

Stupid?
...says the guy completely misrepresenting what the decision says and means.

Did you lose a bet and the forfeit was that you were to be the dumbass proglodyte who screeches "ZOMG Theocracy!!!11!!oneone!"

Did I mention you're a dumbass? True story!

It's the left that has the franchise on Jew-hatred now.

It's a natural consequence of sucking terrorist ass.

Where is this "right" to free abortifacients enumerated? The Progressive Constitution? Because it sure as hell isn't in the REAL one.
