Treason At Pearl Harbor.

What shape do you think a slice of pie is?

Did you even bother to think about your post?
A slice of pie isn't an equal sided triangle which was what you posted. Remember 200 miles out, 200 miles across, two hundred miles back. I posted the actual limits of the sectors and combined they barely exceeded ONE of your search sectors out of six. You posted that EACH search sector was 200 miles wide. The entire search area was only 300 miles wide.

Triangles can be many different types. Try again.

Why not just admit that you are wrong. All you are doing is making yourself look stupid as well as ignorant. If you want to not look stupid, you will have to find an example of a carrier aircraft search that had three equal legs. You won’t find one because it doesn’t exist.

They are called scalene triangles. No leg is the same length.

How about you learn some geometry.

Plus in your post the triangle had three two hundred mile legs, if you are going to lie, at least remember your lies so they don’t trip you up.

Don’t be ridiculous, you know damned well I’m talking about search areas, not triangles.
So am I, one leg is long, heading to the most likely point for an intercept, then they take a new heading to give the 2nd best chance, and the final leg is to someplace.

In between they will sometimes make turns along the way to increase their chances of a contact, this is especially true when hunting for subs.

I used that as a simple fuel example. Don't be an ass.

FDR's sanctions and provocations against Japan do not mean that Japan had no choice but to attack Pearl Harbor. Attacking Pearl Harbor was a catastrophic blunder by the Japanese militarists. Believe it or not--and this is well documented--many Japanese officials actually believed that attacking Pearl Harbor would cause the U.S. to soften its negotiating stand and accept a peace deal. Cooler, saner heads warned that this belief was delusional, but to no avail.

A much smarter Japanese response to FDR's sanctions would have been to only seize the Dutch East Indies to obtain the oil they were lacking because of FDR's oil embargo. Yes, the Dutch would have screamed for enforcement of the ABCD agreement, but this would have been a hard sell to the American people and not nearly as provocative or enraging as the attack on Pearl Harbor.

He [FDR] was one of our greatest presidents.

He befriended and rescued the barbaric, tyrannical Soviet Union, while he excoriated and refused every reasonable peace offer from anti-communist Japan. He handed over Eastern Europe and North Korea to Soviet tyranny, and he paved the way for the Communist takeover of China. Because of his foolish, horrible decision to let Stalin enter the Pacific War, the Soviets physically and economically raped Manchuria, carting off entire factories and killing thousands of civilians.

A much wiser course, and an infinitely more humane course, would have been to make peace with the Japanese and let them and the Germans wipe out the Soviet monstrosity, and then work with the German resistance to remove Hitler from power.

By any objective measurement, his "New Deal' was a flop, and was only rescued after he finally managed to get the U.S. into WWII by provoking the Japanese into attacking Pearl Harbor.

Unlike the cult leader felon.

Right. You bet. Never mind that Hillary committed the exact same crime--falsely labeling a non-campaign expense as a legal expense--and was never charged but was allowed to settle the matter by paying a fine to FEC.

What a load of hog wash. FDR was a sick old man that made mistakes. He was fooled by Stalin because of his infirmities, there is much to complain about with FDR without making up bullshit.

You're a disgrace to the uniform you claim to have worn.

What exactly was "made up" in my factual statements? Heard of the Yalta Conference, the Tehran Conference? Any of this ring a bell? Everything I said was entirely factual and has been documented in literally hundreds of scholarly books.
