While it is true that it is in the Bible because it is the Word of God, spoken by God, it is not true that Jesus wasn't getting what he wanted. Jesus made it very clear what he wanted. He wanted to do the will of the Father. Above all else, His will was to do the will of the One who had sent Him. God the Father.

It was the will of the Father that His Son be crucified on a tree at Calvary in order to make a way for us to be reconciled back to Him. Had Jesus Christ not followed through on the Will of His Father, you and I would not be able to receive forgiveness for our sins, nor would we be able to become the sons and daughters of God. Because of what Jesus Christ did for us, we are able to become the sons and daughters of God by believing upon Him and receiving Him as our Lord and Savior.

Romans 10:9,10 tells us what we must do to be born again, Breezewood.
