Trump Was a Mistake

You’ll notice a striking difference between election news coverage now and the leadup to the 2016 presidential primaries: The mainstream media have hardly breathed a word about Donald Trump (except to say that he’s not doing well in their “polls” and so obviously voters must want him out of the race). Back when Trump was making his run for the nomination in 2015, the newspapers couldn’t keep him off their front pages. He got hours of coverage on every news network every day.

Obviously, he commands the focus of mainstream media far, far more that has any other ex-president.
But that was back when most Republicans (myself included) didn’t consider Trump a serious candidate. The media decided he would be a wonderful candidate from the Democrats’ perspective and selected him as most likely to lose to Hillary Clinton. So they gave him all the free coverage he could handle. Once the establishment realized that Trump was connecting with and inspiring millions of Americans (myself included), it was too late to stop him.
All the free media coverage Trump was accorded as a media entertainer, different from the typical, colorless stiffs who vied for the GOP nomination. Regardless of the paranoia of naïve hyper-partisans, media corporations focus on profit, and this former shlock-tv performer attracted readers and viewers. He was a novelty act.
... People love hearing about Trump, and he loves talking. Media attention is his oxygen. So now they won’t give him any. Prepare yourselves to hear hardly a whisper about Trump for the next year or two—except for portentous statements offered by pompous talking heads who will say he needs to drop out now “for the good of the party.” Whose party do you suppose they mean?
Trump was a demonstrable failure, He had lost the popular vote in 2016 by 2.9 million votes, and by over 7 million in 2020. He was assigned negative approval numbers throughout his tenure. He was the first POTUS to lose his party the House, the presidency, and the Senate in a single term since Herbert Hoover. He continued to work his magic in the midterms of 2018 and 2022.

His persistence in seeking attention is an embarrassment to the Republican Party. Unfortunately, ongoing investigations and litigations now require it.

His cult prefers his self-serving lies to the truth, but his incessantly whining about a stolen "Landslide!" has yet to be reflected by a single state, regardless of Democratic or Republican control, withdrawing its electoral certification for any reason, or a single suspect in his vast, airy-fairy conspiracy ever being identified.

Is this Loser still receiving far more media attention than he deserves? Of course. Inciting goons to attack Congress is attention-getting.

lol for some reason assorted faggots and deviants are obsessed with Trump bashing, even though he hasn't done anything to them. I guess they realize their Party is crumbling at the seams over sexual fetishism and kiddie grooming, along with the failure of their pandering to racist gangs who hate each other as well as kiddie groomers.

Lesser men would have wilted. Many of the people in D.C. are dead inside. Except when you upset their applecart. Just in the last month Trump has taken more vitriol than Joe has in 50 years. This is an indictment on the political class who is obviously voting for someone else's interest the last two years alone. Trump even met the class halfway at times however it was not enough.

Exactly. He doesn't wimp out under pressure, while his enemies go into full blown hysteria and mouth foaming insanity. they even voted in Biden they were so rattled and gimped.

Unless they watch FOX, how would they know?

That's certainly the myth.

In Reality he

"Counterpunches" by impugning the motives of investigators, and lies about his behavior, while "lawyering up".

As they obstruct and delay, Grifty whines about the unfairness of it all, and asks for money.

When the judges finally get a chance to taintpunt all objections, and Grifty is given a chance to tell his story - under oath - his prodigious memory fails him, or he pleads the 5th....400 times.

Trump Was a Mistake

The success of Donald Trump’s presidency dealt establishment politicians a heavy blow. A second Trump term might kill them—and they know it.

But the papers and TV shows and social sites have learned their lesson this time around: People love hearing about Trump, and he loves talking. Media attention is his oxygen. So now they won’t give him any. Trump was a huge mistake: He was the biggest mistake machine politicians had made in over a century. The success of Trump’s presidency dealt establishment politicians a heavy blow. A second Trump term might kill them, and they know it.
So, be prepared to hear nothing about Trump’s candidacy, nothing about his massive rallies, nothing about the unwavering enthusiasm of his supporters. Be prepared to hear only one thing: That the “people” don’t want him. But don’t believe it. Remember which people are doing the talking.

Commentary:
Indeed, the GOP never meant for Trump to win the 2016 election.
All you have to do is to look at the two previous picks to compete against Obama. McCain and Romney. Both candidates were dipped RINO politicians.
Trump takes his job seriously and that is why those in political power fear him.
What previous president as ever accepted te job and came away lesser the richer.
The only other president that comes to mind is Ulysses S. Grant.
Having a President that was competent, was not owned by special interest and put American interests first was unaccepted to the Swamp.

The friggin Federal Government is a $5 trillion a year enterprise (greater than the GDP of all but a couple of other countries) and the Swamp can't have just anybody controlling it. It has to be somebody they control.

The Swamp prefers idiots like The Worthless Negro and Mr Potatohead. Corrupt shitheads like Crooked Hillary and Slick Willy that can be bought will also do.

The Cry Baby Loser's weird worshiper cult aside, most Americans disapprove of Trump, as confirmed by democratic elections.

They still do.

Let's go over this again..

His own appointees thought him a moron.

Several of his own appointees were in bed with the Swamp.

Trump was the greatest President of modern times.

Only idiots voted for Mr Potatohead. Look what we got for letting him get away with stealing the election. Massive inflation, high cost of energy, millions of illegals, weakened military, owned by China, massive debt with nothing to show for it, failed foreign policy, decreased family income, etc.

DeSantis will never grow the balls to challenge Trump directly. He understands that completely and rests his future prospects on the elimination of Trump from the running.

But then, will he just end up disappointed in that with Trump's fall, Trumpism falls with him?

This good ol boy is still a longshot!
I don't know if that's true, but if he does, it wouldn't be smart. It would split the party and Biden (or anybody) could actually win an honest election.

The problem is, so many former Republican voters have bought into the Democrat narrative and won't vote for President Trump again, so we could actually lose to someone like Biden AGAIN.

If that happens I have nothing but contempt for any Republican who won't support the nominee, whoever that is
