Trump’s First Year Was Even Worse Than Feared

Obama inherited a economy in the deepest recession in history.

The recession was over by June 2009.

What did he do between Jan 20, 2009 and June 2009 to end the "deepest recession in history"?

The stimulus, cars for clunkers, the GM b ailout.. Which pumped hundreds of billions into the economy to pull it out of recession.
And you probably bitched about Obama spending that much money, but it worked. The auto industry was saved.

Grit your teeth. Persevere. Just a few more days and this awful, rotten, no-good, ridiculous, rancorous, sordid, disgraceful year in the civic life of our nation will be over. Here's hoping that we all — particularly special counsel Robert S. Mueller III — have a better 2018.

Many of us began 2017 with the consoling thought that the Donald Trump presidency couldn't possibly be as bad as we feared. It turned out to be worse.

Did you ever think you would hear a president use the words "very fine people" to describe participants in a torch-lit rally organized by white supremacists, neo- Nazis and the Ku Klux Klan? Did you ever think you would hear a U.S. ambassador to the United Nations thuggishly threaten that she would be "taking names" of countries that did not vote on a General Assembly resolution the way she wanted? Did you ever think the government of the world's biggest military and economic power would reject not just science but also empiricism itself, preferring to use made-up "alternative facts" as the basis for major decisions?

We knew that Trump was narcissistic and shallow, but on Inauguration Day it was possible to at least hope he was self-aware enough to understand the weight that now rested on his shoulders, and perhaps grow into the job. He did not. If anything, he has gotten worse.

Here are the reasons why:

2018 will be a great year as Trump and his boyos and gurls are defanged.

I will be rubbing your nose in this post pretty soon I predict. Enjoy the suck fakey mcfakerson, enjoy the suck...

Wow, you really don't understand anything do you. All obummer did was put off GM's collapse into a different year. GM has entitlements that are unsustainable and there were millions of mom and pop stock holders who got SCREWED by obummers actions. The wealthy investors all got their cash back, but the small time investors got raped! His actions also crippled the used car market for a decade. You know the cars that poor people can afford. Basically all of the actions that you are crowing about helped the wealthy, but screwed the middle class.

Why do you hate the 99% so much?

No, you won't. But be of good cheer. Real Americans will save the Constitution and the country as well.

Why would we do that? Congress hasn’t passed anything to do with regulations since obummer. That would be silly to have congress do that

This just proves how stupid you are. Congress passed dozens of bills repealing regulations.

Congress Is Using A 1996 Law To Repeal Some Obama Regulations

Republicans Are Using An Obscure Law To Repeal Some Obama-Era Regulations. ... President Trump and congressional Republicans are having some success with one of their oft-stated goals — rolling back federal regulations approved during the Obama administration.

I agree. Trump has eliminated a good portion of the anti COTUS EO's that your hero, the obummer wrote. It's a good beginning to returning this country back to the rule of law. Thanks for pointing that out.

I dunno. He's placated his base by playing to race and victimization while giving Wall Street their greatest dreams. If he gets 3% growth and interest rates don't explode our debt interest costs before 18, or even 20, the gop may have something.

The folks who dreamed of jobs "coming back" .... they're no more screwed than before, and let's face it: anytime a goper candidate can lock in Tex and Fla, that and the south and "big empty" give him a shot.

You think those things pumped hundreds of billions into the economy between Jan 20th 2009 and June 2009?

That's funny!!!

REGULATIONS aren't law, silly person. They are rules placed by the various government agency's. They are not laws. Those can only be enacted by Congress. You need to take a high school civics class.

Even his actual for policy is not really crazy. He's pissed off nato and the UN, but really, what have they done for us beyond helping us quagmire ourselves in afghanistan

And the number of people actually in the workplace decreased to its lowest number in 40 years.

Stop the bull shit, the workforce participation rate is even lower under Trump. Get new talking points.

Nope. It is beginning to increase. obummer was running this country into the dirt for eight years. It will take time to cure the damage.

The middle class buys new cars. So what you said was bull shit.

Nope, you are making an argument that repeating it without proof. Doesn't matter. Your side is losing, and we continue to lose, until the Trumpers are swept from office.

United States Labor Force Participation Rate | 1950-2017 | Data | Chart

Under Obama January 2017 62,9
Under Trump December 2017 62.7

That's lower, get a life, and stop pulling bull shit out your ass.
