Yep, just like Chicago the guns in Mexico are purchased by gun runners in Arizona and Indiana and other gun states and end up in the hands of criminals. The problem is to ID who is the criminal before such weapons end up in the hands of those intent to commit murder, for run or profit.

The best solution against these thugs is to increase sentencing for violent criminals, put more cops on the streets, and ensure we do nothing to disarm the good people that occasionally face these armed assholes.

Someone can easily buy a gun on the black market after you close legal sales in all states and US possessions. Criminals will get guns...no matter what kind of restrictive laws you write.

You may have seen the video on national TV last week about guns and drugs INSIDE A PRISON....showed a punk ass inmate with a loaded .45...racking it repeatedly to eject the bullets onto the floor OF THE CELL he shared with other punk ass inmates. Another one had a bag of weed...another one had bags of rock cocaine.

If criminals can get guns and drugs while in prison, there is NO LAW that will keep them from getting guns when they get released for "good behavior".

Anyone that believes otherwise is extremely unenlightened and unaware of reality.

Why aren't criminals in Japan getting guns? What about criminals in Canada? How about criminals in Germany? Or are you suggesting that those countries don't have criminals?

LOL, this was gangland violence is the STRICTEST gun law State and City in the country. These THUGS weren't using legally obtained guns! They were obeying the no carry rule. They were obeying the burdensome lawful transportation of firearms. Nor were thinking about the law when they decided the kill.

None of the strict IL laws prevented these criminals, nor would a total ban on guns!
