Vermont makes it a crime to own, operate paramilitary training camps

Since the ACW, militias are frowned upon. Current "militias" are just fat racist crazies pretending they aren't targets.

Freedom is sure as hell not turning this country into a Socialist shithole like you idiot Moon Bats want to do.
It sure isn't banning books, the media, overturning elections, American history, mail-in voting, public education, Social Security, Medicaid, libraries, school boards, etc.
Like you communist, morons want to do.

The constitutions of 48 states require the military to be under the authority of the government. This means private citizens do not have the authority to organize in a military-style fashion. Twenty-nine states also don't allow private military-like activities such as parading or conducting drills in public using firearms.

In 25 states, unauthorized military activities are considered a crime. In Colorado, for example, instructing people how to use or make firearms or explosive devices with the intent of causing civil disorder is a class 5 felony.

In 17 states, laws prohibit self-appointed peacekeepers from dressing up in uniforms and assuming the role of law enforcement.

It's late, and I asked the wrong question.

It should have been "Who got shot that kicked off The American Revolution"

You really should pay attention to what happened back then, commie.

This ain't Russia, and many people in America are descendants of those who fought back then.

The British MILITARY.

"The Shot Heard Round the World" has been a source of confusion as the shots fired at the North Bridge in Concord have historical markers indicating it is the "Shot Heard Round The World," although the first shot fired in the American Revolution took place at the Lexington Battle Green.

The first engagement of the day took place at Lexington, Massachusetts on the morning of April 19, when a column of British troops encountered a group of minutemen led by Captain John Parker.

Despite the fact that neither side had orders to open fire, a shot was fired from an unknown source, which sparked a minor skirmish before the minutemen retreated in the face of a British bayonet charge.

However, more minutemen would march to the aid of Parker's men, and the British were ultimately forced to retreat back to Boston at the day's end.

In Concord, the North Bridge is marked by a statute of "The Minute Man," and below the statute is an engraving which differentiates its role in the American Revolution.

The engraving reads, in part: "On the 19 of April 1775 was made the first forcible resistance to British aggression..."
