No they didn't stop being a revisionistThey threw away their membership to the Democratic Party in 1860...then months later threw away their citizenship in the United States.
Those democrats hated the 3/5th clauseI thought this was about the 3/5th compromise, what did I miss?
It's relevant because they were democrats.
It's historical relevant.
After the war and Reconstruction, they came back (not all of them.....many were DEAD now...It was those democrats that you said left the democrat party
Democratic Party - HISTORYNo, its not relevant, because all the parties switch positions many times.
In fact, all political parties were always totally fake and irrelevant.

Democratic Party - HISTORY

They never left the oldest political party in American history

hahah that’s obviously a lie, Joey “racial jungle” xiden just got the party’s nomination for president. The Southern slaveholders gave up on the Democratic Party in the 1860 election. Then the Southern racists gave up on the Democratic Party again 100 years later.
Not only did Southern con-servatives leave the party in 1860....they left the country in 1860 a few months later....and then, after they got their butts beat in the war, they left the party again in the 1960s rather than give up their racism. They never left the oldest political party in American history
Excuse making by the racist con-servatives who now infest the Republican party.hahah that’s obviously a lie, Joey “racial jungle” xiden just got the party’s nomination for president.
We have these things called history books. Ever read one?Not only did Southern con-servatives leave the party in 1860....they left the country in 1860 a few months later....and then, after they got their butts beat in the war, they left the party again in the 1960s rather than give up their racism.

If you haven't looked it up leave your opinion out of itHave not looked it up, but I thought the southern politicians loved the 3/5ths clause, since it allowed them electoral college votes based on slaves that they did not allow to vote.
Originally they were not going to get their slaves counted at all.
That pumped up their own white voting power compared to the voting power of individuals in states without slaves.
