My complaint is not that "China lied" about Covid-19. There is lots of recognition of local cover-ups and errors (even in public media in China). Of course there was confusion, delay, and lack of transparency by central authorities before the hard decisions were made to shut down Wuhan and much of the economy just before the Lunar New Year travel holiday (Jan.24).
