There are all kinds of tactics used in winning an election. Everybody uses them. Some use some tactics more than others, just like in a physical war. The existence of RINO's is widespread. It's how Vermont, formerly the most firearm friendly state in the union became like New York almost overnight...allowing only 10rd magazines and other mandates as well. That all happened under a Republican governor! The Dems were first to use that disguise tactic. It's not just about winning elections, it's about passing legislation and winning court battles too. The RINO thing has been refined to an art. Many republicans are asleep at the wheel just trying to do for themselves and not really fighting for their sworn purpose, no doubt. But many more are just not true Republicans and simply agree to run as Republicans because their Democrat sponsors coach them into it, thinking they have a good chance of winning over Republican voters because they have good salesmanship skills.
