WASHINGTON, D.C. -- As President Donald Trump and Republican leaders strategize about tax reform, the majority of U.S. adults believe that upper-income people and corporations are paying too little in taxes. In contrast, about half of Americans say middle- and lower-income people pay too much, while the other half says these groups are currently paying their fair share or are not paying enough.

The majority of bank robbers and white-collar criminals say the same thing. The wealthy should give them a LOT more of their money, they say.

Does that make it right?

Polls? let me laugh.....see below.

Ever notice, wealthy people are by far the whiniest and bitchiest about paying taxes. They think it not fair they have to support the very system that brought them wealth.

Kristians no doubt.

It's the gubmint's money. They allow us to keep some of what we earn.

If the tax rate was 90% and you don't pay, you go to jail.

The vast majority of people in any country, including the U.S., are economically illiterate. Most economists conclude that the BEST income tax rate for corporations is ZERO.

A corporation is a fictitious "person," created by the State at the request of an investor (or investors) in order to facilitate engaging in legitimate business without exposing the personal wealth of the investors. State corporation laws ensure that the corporations are sufficiently funded or insured so that IT can be responsible for ITS corporate activities.

The vast majority of corporations are not taxed at all, but rather, their profits are simply channeled through the corporation to the individual owners, where they are taxed as owner-income (see "SubChapter S").

The money that the Gubmint doesn't take in the form of taxes (in the zero tax regime) is either,
Paid out to the owners as TAXABLE dividends,
Paid out to the employees and officers as TAXABLE compensation, or
Retained by the corporation for future benefit.

It's not complicated. But anyone who doesn't know the proper use of the word, "too" (see OP), can't be expected to be very sophisticated in economic knowledge.

Yep. A Gallup poll no less. In which an overwhelming majority agree the wealthy and corporations pay to little.

Given that this is a growing trend, with a changing population demographic, that will only agree more, that in turn will have the wealthy and corporations paying more.

I share in your laughter.

It's unconscionable to me that the tax structure has some people paying over 60% of their income to Federal, State and local governments.

The majority of Americans know little math and less economics.

They know that the math doesn't add up, and the economics of the wealthy, and corporations paying to little in taxes are failed economic policies.

But there's good news. The trend is that the majority agree that they need to go up, and are going to.

simplify the tax code. Wont happen but it should. That would make it "fair". stupid mother fuckers running on "im going to raise the taxes on the rich" while not doing shit about the tax system is insane. They just use loopholes ot get out of it.
People should start thinking instead of listening to morons that hate you.

corporations paying to little in taxes are failed economic policies.

Um, they are paying more now than in the 1990s during the "Clinton" economy... (really the Gingrich economy)

But there's good news

Now, what does a sub human taxpayer funded left wing parrot and leech consider "good news?"

The trend is that the majority agree that they need to go up, and are going to.

which will send many more corporate EMPLOYERS like BURGER KING right out of the US and into LOWER TAX countries like CANADA...
