What Conservative Ideals that have worked in the Past

Anyone? We all know the liberal policies so I'm curious...What are the Conservative ideas that has worked in the past?

freedom...as per our Constitution

working hard and owning your own business, land, and property...equal opportunity not outcome

believing in a Higher Power and living a life of of virtue...freedom exists in a virtuous society

individual effort to study and learn...stupid people lose their freedom

do your part to support and defend our country...we the people ARE the government

Given that the whole idea of the American Revolution was radical liberalism in it's time, I find it hilarious that the 'Conservatives' of today are claiming these as 'Conservative' ideals.

As I find it pitiful that the hoi polloi conservatives actually believe this and other revisions of history put forth by the GOP and their follow travelers.

The entire American experiment is the result of conservative principles. Free people, acting in their own best interests, are the most productive people in the world. Free people, acting in their own financial interests are the most efficient judges of good capital management. Free people, acting in accordance with their individual moral codes are the most generous people in the world.

Those are the principles that have created the wealth that the dogs of the left wing wish to distribute to the masses.

Well the constitution worked pretty well for this country for a long time. Now Presidents like Bush and Obama openly wipe their ass with it one day then use it to defend against policy that they don't like the next day.

Best example of Conservative Government VS Progressive would be Harding in the 1920's VS FDR. Back to back depression, one was fixed with no debt the other had to have the mother fucker die before his policies could be repealed and the economy come back to life.

You realize that the Great Depression ended before FDR's 3rd term, right?

or were you talking about Harding's broad view of construction, and untimely death?

Sheppard?Towner Act - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Great Depression ended three times during FDRs three terms, but he managed to kill of the recovery in every instance. WWII finally ended the Great Depression by doing two key things. First, the need for a military took 10 to 12 million men out of the workforce. Second, massive government purchases of all sorts of goods, from simple tools to tanks, trucks, aircraft, and ships. Every segment of production was overwhelmed with demand for products and services. The free enterprise system worked to convert this huge government demand into the arsenal of democracy. All, with minimum control from the bureaucracy.

Washington said we needed it, and the free enterprise system delivered it.

Given that the liberal/socialists of today have no relationship with the radical liberals of the American revolution, you are blowing smoke. The conservatives of today, are the liberals of the revolution. The same ideals, and the same belief in the superiority of the individual over the collective.
