I don't need them; never shot one in my life. AR's are better for distance, and in mass shootings, that's irrelevant because when you are shooting into a crowd of people, accuracy is not needed, just point the gun in the direction of the victims.

The other point as I demonstrated is magazine size will not save one life in a mass shooting. It only takes a second to push the button that allows the magazine to fall and replace it with a full magazine. If you are counting your shots (meaning you leave the last round in the chamber before you switch magazines) you can fire virtually non-stop.

In a Builiding of a mass public shooting, the police with hand guns are not outgunned by a rifle....the rifle is a long range weapon that loses it's advantage in the confines of a building....in fact, it can become a disadvantage in close quarters....

And the entire point of a mass public shooting is that as soon as the killer is confronted by anyone with a gun, even civilians...they surrender, commit suicide or run away...so having an AR-15 is not helping them since they end the fight when the good guy with a gun shows up.
