What The Mueller Report ACTUALLY States

When Mueller testifies to the House.
He did, gave them their report they asked for! No charges , it’s over. No honest blood cell in their bodies
Trump is so innocent, he's trying to block Mueller from testifying.

What the Mueller Report Says About Obstruction

Mueller left open the door for congressional consideration of Trump’s conduct. “With respect to whether the President can be found to have obstructed justice by exercising his powers under Article II of the Constitution, we concluded that Congress has authority to prohibit a President’s corrupt use of his authority in order to protect the integrity of the administration of justice,” Mueller wrote.
Mueller reports to him. Two years seems reasonable to fk up a family. So you can get fkd
Mueller did all the work prior to Barr.

and congress has the power to prevent the executive branch from obstructing justice, and to have Mueller testify before congress.

who in Hell does that 'popeye' jack ass think he is? Barron?

No no they don’t! It’s your error. Mueller was a prosecutor and did not find a fking thing! I’m happy to see the crime . Come on smart ass
Some of the most significant non-statutory tools are available to both houses of Congress. Three tools have particular practical or legal significance to Congress: expressions of disapproval, including censure; criminal contempt of Congress; and each house's inherent power to arrest and jail individuals for obstructive conduct.140

5 key takeaways from the Mueller report
1) Trump can be guilty of obstruction even if there was no underlying crime
2) Trump pressured witnesses not to cooperate with the investigation
3) Trump asked senior officials to lie or mislead the public
4) Trump tried to fire the special counsel
5) Trump’s attempts to thwart the investigation were unsuccessful — because his aides didn’t follow through

Once again, you are the liar....
I am?

- Please cite the text where Mueller attributes the possibly obstructive actions to a corrupt intent.
- Please cite the text where Mueller says obstruction of justice does NOT requires demonstrably corrupt intent

If you read the report, and the report says what you claim it says, you can do this with ease.

But you won't, because you can't, and you know it.

And, the most important parts - ignored by the hyper-partisan bigots because it destroys their narrative:

- Obstruction requires corrupt intent
- Corrupt intent cannot be proven, primarily because there was no crime to conceal.

The end.

That fucking faggot piece of shit has been spamming this thread ad infinitum with his 'corrupt intent' bull shit,
Thank you for further demonstrating how much you hate the truth.
Truth you say?.
Yep
-You refuse to understand that obstruction requires corrupt intent.
-You refuse to understand Mueller said he cannot prove said corrupt intent.

Feel free to confirm this with your pre-pubescent response.

Martha Stewart went to jail for obstruction even though the underlying crime was found not guilty. Fucking with investigators and justice system itself is a corrupt act.

So?
Fucking with investigators and justice system itself is a corrupt act.
It -might- be an -obstructive- act, if done with corrupt intent.

Nope, as you've been shown repeatedly, corrupt intent is not a required element of that law.

Fortunately, at least -he- is aware that corrupt intent is a necessary component to an obstruction charge.

Why mueller didnt charge. Thats a very good question.
Its all detailed here, and its worth a read. basically its because of Mueller's interpretation of OLC decision.

just stated in another post...I will use his language.

"And the acceptance of the fact a charge of obstruction requires corrupt intent - a very high standard, one that could not be demonstrated due to the lack of an underlying crime to cover up."

Anyone that posts in this thread should at a minimum check the OP post, where you could have easily read this.
This is an excerpt from the SC Mueller report.

Second, many obstruction cases involve the attempted or actual cover-up of an underlying crime. Personal criminal conduct can furnish strong evidence that the individual had an improper obstructive purpose, see, e.g. , United States v. Willoughby, 860 F.2d 15, 24 (2d Cir. 1988), or that he contemplated an effect on an official proceeding, see, e.g., United States v. Binday, 804 F.3d 558, 591 (2d Cir. 2015). But proof of such a crime is not an element of an obstruction offense. See United States v. Greer, 872 F.3d 790, 798 (6th Cir. 2017) (stating, in applying the obstruction sentencing guideline, that "obstruction of a criminal investigation is punishable even if the prosecution is ultimately unsuccessful or even if the investigation ultimately reveals no underlying crime"). Obstruction of justice can be motivated by a desire to protect non-criminal personal interests, to protect against investigations where underlying criminal liability falls into a gray area, or to avoid personal embarrassment. The injury to the integrity of the justice system is the same regardless of whether a person committed an underlying wrong.

There you have it folks: No underlying crime need be proven for an obstruction case to be determined, and/or pursued.

So, jc456, the below statement is FALSE

"And the acceptance of the fact a charge of obstruction requires corrupt intent - a very high standard, one that could not be demonstrated due to the lack of an underlying crime to cover up."

Corrupt intent & the potential for any underlying crime are two completely different issues.

That's Barr's language, not Mueller's.

obstruction of justice doesnt require underlying crime.

and mueller was dead right on obstruction.

The Constitution gives Congress the authority to hold the president accountable by impeaching him for treason, bribery, “high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” Historically, this term has not been limited to or even defined by the penal code. It is a term of art that most historians believe denotes a serious abuse of power. By declining to determine whether or not Trump committed criminal obstruction, Mueller left it to the constitutionally appropriate branch to decide whether the conduct outlined in his report amounted to such an abuse.
