What will republicans do first?

What will republicans do first?

Pass bills that will secure the border, reform the tax structure and rescind the Obamacare Mandate. Force Obama to veto them.

This assume they can get any of that passed over a filibuster or a threat of a filibuster.
The GOP will add them as poison pill amendments to the budget bills which only need 51 votes. If Obama vetos them the Right will accuse Obama of shutting down the government.

Republicans support big business interests. They will NOT, NEVER "secure the borders," because that would stop the supply of low-wage labor and drive up American wages. Republicans will certainly not do that.

Yes, Republicans WILL "reform" the tax structure; since 1980, tax "reform" has reduced taxes for the rich and increased them (through sales and local/state tax increases) on lower income groups.

I DO hope they rescind the Affordable Care Act. I really do, for purely political reasons.
Which big business is hiring illegals? I call bullshit, like the rest of your tripe. Which states raised taxes on the poor? and I hope the ACA is repealed too but for economic reasons. America didn't want it and don't want it now. And since the election is over, you can now find out from your insurance company what next year's rates will be.

Impeach Obama?
Repeal the ACA?
Outlaw Hispanics?
Defund the CDC?

Leaked GOP memo outlining GOP strategy:

-blame President Obama for everything
-sponsor ultra conservative bills which force Democrats to oppose them just to claim Democrats are the impediment tog etting anything done
-blame President Obama some more

repass the Patriot Act
ugg... see that's why I did not vote republican.

Just so you will know.

"On May 26, 2011, President Barack Obama signed the PATRIOT Sunsets Extension Act of 2011, a four-year extension of three key provisions in the USA PATRIOT Act: roving wiretaps, searches of business records (the "library records provision"), and conducting surveillance of "lone wolves"—individuals suspected of terrorist-related activities not linked to terrorist groups."
I remember. It is my hope that the democrats and some republicans finally drop the unpatriotic act.

That would require Obama provide the leadership to encourage the Democrats to do so, and if he is interested in doing that he had better hurry while he still has a majority in the Senate. What makes you think that he wants to drop the Patriot Act after being in office almost 6 years and renewing it one time?
I think he's a puppet. If he's told to drop the Un-Patriotic Act he will do so and take credit for ending Bush's nazi like system of treating Americans as the enemy.

The democrats need to do something to take the initiative back. And this would be a good way to do that.

Obama extended it once! The Democrats can't repeal it unless Obama tells them to, and he isn't going to do that.

I need a link to believe that, but after 6 years of Obama blaming Bush and Republicans, payback would be sweet. I think the Republicans have too much class to stoop that low.

Reagan is exactly what I refer to. You will find, if you have any economics education at all, that increased tax revenues during his regime coincided with cyclical economic recovery--as it does with every presidency.

Reagan began the era of big government deficits, you know . . . or, don't you?
Wrong. He lowered taxes a LOT and they went up a little. There's no such thing as taxing your way into prosperity. Businesses went up, revenue went up. Spending went up too, due to building up the military and not getting spending decreases he wanted from the Dems.

I was around then so always laugh at self proclaimed economics experts that talk trash about what went on then. The same geniuses that think we've been on the right course lately.
You don't seem very intelligent. Is that really what you believe happened?

If I didn't provide a link I probably made it up. :)

No big deal. It happens a lot on message boards.

"What big business is hiring illegals?"
LOL . . . I can't believe you asked that. AGRICULTURE, the favorite patron of the Republican Party, the recipients of uncontested giant "subsidy" payments and beneficiaries of cheap "illegal" labor.

"Which states raised taxes on the poor?" ALL OF THEM. Sales taxes, property taxes, excise taxes, motor vehicle fees, thousands of tax increases the Republicans NEVER, EVER MENTION.

Put some of the many bills that went into limbo under Harry Reid's leadership up for a vote and get them to the President to either sign or veto. Starting with the excel pipeline I think we have waited long enough for a decision on that.

Why do you want the pipeline constructed? It will increase the price of refined gasoline in the Midwest.

bullshit.

1. Defund all AGW "Research"
2. Turn the IRS on Media Matters and other illegal, abusive Progressive 501c3
3. Use the NSA to spy on our political enemies and their reporters too

Don't just say "bullshit." Explain yourself.

Once the pipeline is completed, the Canadian crude will be routed to port for sale and export to foreign markets. Right now, it comes down to U.S. markets and increases our supply, thereby driving down prices.

When the pipeline is completed (and it will be with Republican support), the available domestic supplies will decrease and prices will increase.

It's not rocket science. Do you people think anything through at all?

You left your statement unjustified. I didn't feel obligated to justify my reply.
No it's not rocket science at all. Oil is a world wide commodity. More oil reduces prices, or don't you grasp supply and demand?

HEY STOOPID.

Do you honestly think the Canadians want to export oil from their pipeline to LOWER PRICED foreign markets? Of course not. They will sell at higher prices due to increasing foreign demand (think Asian markets).

Again--DUH

They will sell their oil for what they can get for it, just like Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Russia do.

Or they can keep it.

I own a bar. I can ask you to pay $5 for a Bud Lite drought, but my customers can get the same beer for 2 bucks a quarter mile away. Why should they come to my place?
