The rest of the first world provides unemployment insurance, free retraining, child tax benefits, and other income supports to help people get back into the work force, and a more reasonable level of minimum wages. We don't make the situation WORSE for poor people so they're forced to take 2 or three jobs just to keep a roof over their heads. Or take to crime to supplement their incomes.

So true. White women are now lining up for sterilization because they're not prepared to risk their lives by getting pregnant. If you can't get proper medical treatment for the complications of pregnancy, who would want to risk getting pregnant.

Under current Texas law, neither one of my miscarriages would have been treatable when they happened. In both cases, I carried dead tissue for weeks, and was able to get a D&C to clear that tissue BEFORE sepsis set in and endangered my life. It's only because I was able to get timely medical assistance that I was able to make a full recovery and have successful pregnancies.
