This story isn't about Chris Rock or Jada. As far as Rock is concerned, IMHO he probably didn't know about Jada's condition. One hopes he wouldn't have made that joke about her, which would've been in very poor taste. But it's still his right to joke about it anyway, our 1st Amendment guarantees that you get to be asshole. Maybe Will terribly miscalculated and thought he would come across as the hero defending his wife, I dunno. In any case, he fucked up.

The other side of this story IMHO is Will and Jada. She has been a target of jokes by Rock and others and they should've been prepared for it. In their line of work it comes with the territory, and they should've been expecting it or at least beforehand talked about what they should do about it. As I said earlier, I think they should've got up and walked out, now that would've made a much more powerful statement. Will and Jada would be heroes today instead of the villains. Or they could've made a brief statement to the press the next day citing their displeasure with Rock's joke. Case closed.

Instead, we're dealing with the fallout from a story that ain't that big of a deal. Somebody made a joke about somebody's wife and got bitch-slapped. BFD.

I am one of those... I didn't know or cared that Jada cheated on him multiple times. But social media brought out the other videos... and seeing him sitting there like a small boy while his wife tells the world she fucked another dude... over and over.. and then seeing the video of her on a different show laughing about it and saying the sex was good ??!!.... FFS.. Will is Hollywood's biggest cuck.
I will never see him the same. How can he possibly play a "tough guy" in any movie ever again?

The Oscars is a total joke. They show us every year how much further they are out of touch with their fanbase.
It's even worse than the Grammys....where rock bands that spend much of their time getting wasted and running naked thru hotel lobbies get awards for music that most people don't listen to or bother to buy.
Most of the movies these people produce are garbage.
Too preachy and too many political messages.
Moviegoers just want entertainment.....not a message about men who wear dresses or people with handicaps who only got the award because they are deaf.

I liked CODA much more than I had anticipated. But the academy fucked up by not giving Emelia Jones even a nomination.

The Academy protected people like Harvey Weinstein for decades.....and they actually feel they can preach to us about how we're supposed to think. Many of them stood up for him.....until he was convicted of serial sexual-assault and became radioactive. Producers like Weinstein are a dime a dozen in Hollywood. It's why so many child actors end up on drugs or die young.
Diversity is just the lefts way of getting scumbags that normally wouldn't be in a leadership position placed in high office....so they can degrade the company with their screwed up ideas.
Their Supreme Court nominee is a prime example.
Easy on child pornographers but rough on parents that protest school board meetings.

There's a story behind the story. In an effort to find some sexual satisfaction apparently Jada has been whoring around with well-hung studs. It's one thing to have an open marriage it's another thing to make it public knowledge and humiliate your husband. The moment she suggested having an open marriage he should have told her to pack her bags and leave; But they do have children together and that counts for something. This is where social media becomes the poison of our society. Once that little story got out on social media Will Smith's life basically turned into a mental and emotional stoning. It ain't never going to go away. Probably it will eventually destroy their relationship completely. It's a full-time humiliation that will last for the rest of his life. That little pie hole on her face turned out to be a pretty goddamn destructive weapon.
Even if there isn't any head hair over it.
