Will the president who flagrantly ignored NATO officials feign surprise?

Keep Oil prices where they are now and Russia will suffer... Lets just play the long game, only an idiot would get involved in a proxy war in Ukraine with Russia... Vietnam anyone?

In the end Putin is basically weak on finance and the economy... He starting to learn quickly with lessons from the first world.

This is a simple game of chess... We all know the outcome as long as the Right Wingers don't get control.

Putin will pressurize the rebels to get into talks. Boarders go back to normal with more autonomy to the russian areas... Putin will claim success and take it as a win. West will know that no war is a win... Russia can go back to normal trading...

Obama has been playing chess and the Hard Right is playing draughts...

Why should Obama do something.

Let's review for those playing along at home. The Ukraine had a fair and free election, and a candidate won. That candidate then proceeded to get a really pretty good trade deal with Russia instead of the European Union. The European Union instead instigated factions not in the government to topple the legitimately elected president.

At that point, Ethnic Russians in the Ukraine, seeing that democracy didn't do them any good, decided they would rather be part of Russia than the Ukraine. If we put it to a province by province vote, like was done in the Crimea, the map would change radically.

Why is this our problem?
Because if we're not pile driving into everyone's business every waking moment, the neocons start to soil themselves.

And nobody wants to clean that.
Your sexual fantasies aside, Russia taking over a chunk of a NATO ally isn't just ordinary business.
Ukrainian usurpers government is not even legit, much less a "NATO ally".

But why worry about Putin anyway, there's queers that want cakes.

NATO’s relations with Ukraine
  • Last updated: 31 Mar. 2015 10:51
The Allies believe that a sovereign, independent and stable Ukraine, firmly committed to democracy and the rule of law, is key to Euro-Atlantic security. Relations date back to the early 1990s and have since developed into one of the most substantive of NATO’s partnerships. Since 2014, in the wake of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, cooperation has been intensified in critical areas.

Same story in Tikrit...it's the obama doctrine at work...confound them with weakness.

So it was Obama's fault that the Iraqi Army wouldn't fight ISIS?
It is Obama's fault we did not have troops in Iraq to help them, he chose to blow of the SOFA dealings.

President Bush effectively ended the occupation Iraq of in 2008 when he was forced to negotiate a new agreement with Iraq. He authorized the withdrawal of all US combat troops by the end of 2011.

Ukraine is still not a Member of NATO.
