actually, he was taught by a teacher who opted to go into that profession and earn the income that the profession offered. he drove on the roads that were built using tax payer money and paid to business owners who employed workers that opted to go into the road building industry and earn the income the profession offers. He bought food from those that sold food and the employees that opted to work for food sales establishments. He was healed by medical professionals who opted to go into the medical profession and earn the income the profession offers.

Right. All built upon a support network of people providing services and opportunities for others to succeed.

The problem is those opportunities are shrinking every day. Everywhere you look people are losing their health insurance, school is getting more expensive, jobs are going to China/India, etc.....who do these changes affect? The middle class, which is dwindling every year as the ranks of the poor increase. Yet, these changes don't seem to impact the wealthiest among us who are becoming wealthier every day. So to act, like he is "self made" is funny because he's had plenty of help along the way. Unfortunately that help is going away and he doesn't care or want to recognize it.

First, bullshit. Second, better yourself. How many slaves do you think ever made the equivalent of a minumim wage? Where did you ever get the idea that a minimum wage is supposed to support even an individual person? Employers pay what a job is worth. Minimum wage jobs are for teenage kids entering the job market, housewives looking to supplement family income or retirees to have extra pocket money. Any 40 year old adult with a wife and 4 kids still working a minimum wage job after 24 years or so of employment has made some bad, bad choices along lifes highway.

I've asked for their solutions to this so-called problem and both people to whom I've asked have gone quiet.

Here's is the pure and simple fact.

Income equality will always be around.

Deal with it!

Thats the point people are trying to deal with it. Again like always you need to strike that balance between regulation and capitalism.
Left to its own devices capitalism will eat its own tail and crash. The same goes for every other method. Socialism, communism, etc.....you over regulate and things stall out. You under and it crashes under its own greed.

There is nothing wrong with making money, but you cant stack the deck in your favor...you watch these billion and million dollar companies pay their lower employess chump change. So the idea they cant afford to pay more is absurd, but they need those bonuses and higher paying "jobs".

Is it wrong to say " hey instead of paying yourself 2 million, how about 1.5 and you pay your employees a little more." Nothing wrong in suggesting this. ...just dont force them.

Welfare is a tool to be ised to get yourself out. But if the jobs pay so poorly then how do they get out of welfare?

At least this is my opinion on it...just food for thought.
