Why? And why a lie and not just wrong? How would the collapse of the AMOC show that he had been lied to? And why would it go in that direction anyway? I would have said that the collapse of the AMOC would show YOU that everything YOU believe on this topic is false. The AMOC will have stopped with no change in the glacial/interglacial cycle, no change in the tectonic configuration of the planet, no change in the thermal isolation of either pole.
