Now, if you were serious about reducing the number of abortions, there's a way to do that.

1) Comprehensive sex education starting at about 14, including explaining contraception and providing it.
2) Paid Family and Medical Leave for all employees. And for a lot longer than 12 weeks and we DO hold your job open for you while you are out.
3) Universal health care.

Now, most of the other Industrialized Democracies already do this, and they have abortion rates that are much lower than ours.

THe other end of the spectrum is to make abortion illegal because your Imaginary Sky Friend tells you to.

They do that in the Philippines. Catholic Country, they discourage birth control, abortion is illegal... and they have 500,000 to 800,000 abortions a year out of a population of 90 million.

I prefer to attack problems with policy rather than emotion.
