At what point is it OK to use your gun against the gubment?

I'm sure the baseball shooter must have thought he had to resort to violence as a last resort.
So 'ole Timmy here is "sure" of what someone else "thought". Yeah - nobody knows how to bring it hard to a debate like Timmy. That is one hell of a stupid sentence there T.

The use of firearms "against an abusive government" has never been a conservative talking point. As a matter of fact the increasingly unstable left has been calling for the violent overthrow of the government even before domestic terrorist Bill Ayers became an adviser to the former president. Socialists call for revolution and the shooter was a supporter of the democrat/socialist candidate. The radical left has sucked up so much cool-aid that I expect suicide vests will be their next weapon of choice.

One of the conservative talking points is that we all need to own serious firepower in case we have to rise up against an abusive government. This is a GOP /NRA thing .

So I'd like to know , at what point do you get all shooty?

I'm sure the baseball shooter must have thought he had to resort to violence as a last resort . Just wondering what righties think since this is one their beliefs .

No...it is an American/Constitution/Declaration of INdependence/Bill of Rights thing.......

The baseball shooter had no standing to use violence....we have a functioning voting process, despite the attempts by democrats to steal elections, we have a functioning judiciary, a functioning separation of powers and ways to petition for a relief of grievances.......

The republican base is anti-government to its core.
That is Matthew's official false narrative (especially when he's drunk late at night) because he can't make a rational argument for why he wants the federal government to violate the U.S. Constitution. The Republican base isn't "anti-government" at all. We are pro-constitutional government.

You're just pissed off though because a constitutional government means you don't get a free ride.

Good point. The right's always saying we need guns so that when the time is right, we can use them against the government and take back what's ours. I'd love some clarification on where Republicans think that point lies.

Here you go...study this.......

Ah, more hard leftists coming out and condoning the shooting. How predictable...

Lefties are against gun violence . I don't condone the shooting .

Am I wrong to say that is not a pro gun talking point. ? What's the matter , suddenly you can't admit it ?

No...the left wing is for governments using guns...just not the victims of the government....

Suddenly bringing it up right after a hard leftists goes on a crazy shooting rampage against government officials.

Can't tell if you are stupid enough to think no one sees that you are trying to justify the shooting.

YOU should be justifying the shooting ! It's in line with YOUR beliefs .

No, it isn't.....there is still the ability to redress grievances through lawful channels......this guy, typical lefty, didn't care about that....he just wanted what he wanted and he started murdering people...

I guess jumping to conclusions is your favourite form of exercise.

The question is valid.

Republicans told the American people that if they elected a Republican House and Senate, they would keep Trump in check, and to this point, they haven't done so, and they've defended his stupidity.

At what point, as they gut environmental regulations keeping the air and water fit for human consumption, regulations put in place to rein in Wall Street after the crash, and labor laws to help low paid workers get overtime, do working people say, "Enough" and take up arms against a government that is not working for the best interests of the people?

What has Trump done against the law or the Constitution? Considering he is using the courts and he hasn't declared martial law......but please...do go on with your bullshit....

Firearm ownership is an absolute right… end of story

None of our rights are absolute.

Yes...they are.....there are limitations on how you exercise them in public, or if you lose your rights through due process....but they are essentially absolute.

They are absolute except for the limitations?

What is your definition of "absolute " ???

You have an absolute right to own and carry a gun for self defense...you cannot use that weapon to commit crimes or commit murder, if you do either, you lose your Right to own and carry a gun.

Basically if you don't fuck it up yourself, every American citizen has an absolute right to firearm ownership. End of story - no debate
Quit falling down the well

Think about the "heroes" the left holds up. Bill Ayers spent a decade with his gang advocating the violent overthrow of the government and terrorizing Americans by bombing corporate headquarters and Military recruiting centers because he was angry about the Vietnam war. The last bomb that he and his gang made was intended for Soldiers at a Ft. Dix dance but it blew up prematurely killing four of his comrades including his girlfriend. That made Ayers guilty of felony murder and about a hundred other felonies but a friendly federal judge dismissed all the charges citing alleged illegal FBI surveillance. Ayers went on to be a mover and shaker in democrat politics in Chicago and a partner and mentor of Barry Hussein Obama's political career. Today the desperate and confused left wants to blame conservatives for an attempted political assassination by a Trump hater and Sanders supporter.

There are inalienable rights, and there are Constitutional rights, but there is no such thing as an 'absolute' right.

The right to bear arms is a Constitutional right. - and like ALL rights is a limited right.

The powers of the federal government are not absolute.

The Constitution is the check on the federal government.

SCOTUS is the check on the Constitution being misused.
