No, the way it works is that the DoJ investigates corruption. The fact that the DoJ wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole indicates it's not criminal, it's political.

Where did you get the idea that the "way it works" is that the president alone pushes for investigations into his political opponents without going through the actual justice department? The president should have no part in this process.
