Israel doesn't fire indiscriminate rockets into Palestinian territory hoping that they hit and kill somebodies with no concern for who those somebodies are. Hamas has done to that to Israel for decades.

Israel doesn't send terrorists into Palestinian territory to blow up busses full of mothers and kids, blow up schools, blow up crowded market places. Hamas (and other Arab terrorist groups) have done that to Israel far too often over the years.

Israel doesn't put its weaponry and ammo dumps in the midst of crowded civilian areas to ensure its innocent citizens will be killed if there is an attack and then use the carnage for their propaganda. Hamas does that consistently even placing its rocket launchers next to schools.

And this current attack was so savage, so brutal, so uncaring for human life that Israel has every justification to drive out Hamas and destroy their ability to make war. Yes many innocent Palestinians will of necessity die but Israel has made good faith efforts to warn them to get out of the way and has given them time to do that.

If Hamas doesn't do what it can to protect the innocent, then any dead or injured Palestinians are on their head, not Israel's.
