You know, it would be helpful to find an actual news story on this, rather than just going by the OP's interpretation of someone on Twitter.

Post 12 has a link to an actual news story, and no, there is no pass yet for Avenatti, as they have passed on the felony charges, but misdemeanor charges are still possible. Investigation is still ongoing.
