Bush didn't just lie........

But in the end...it was Bush's war
He envisioned it, he lied to get it and he gave the order to invade

the Bush morons have a vested interest in spreading the blame..... contempt is way to good for the likes of them...

telling the truth is not spreading blame. History should record what actually happened, otherwise we will repeat the same mistakes.

Rabbi posted that Dick Cheney was no longer involved in Haliburton and didn't personally benefit from the war. That's not true.

Cheney refused to sell his Haliburton shares when he became VP and he refused to put them in a blind trust so he was very much involved with the U.S. Defence Department's #1 contractor and still is.

He wasn't the only member of W's inner circle to have significant shareholdings in companies doing business with the federal government.

These asshats looted the federal treasury for their own personal gain while Americans died.
You're such a fucking liar. Cheney had no financial interest in whether Halliburton got contracts or not.
Cheney s Halliburton Ties Remain - CBS News

Seems some folks don't know Bush isn't POTUS anymore and hasn't been for years.

One has to wonder why all they seem to want to talk about is what Bush did or didn't do instead of what Obama is doing.

Seems these idiots have nothing better to talk about. God knows they sure do ignore what Barry and his pack of boobs are doing and waste no time defending what he does.

Its part of the dem/lib strategy to hide the massive failure that obama has been. thats all it is.

Fear mongering was much more effective

George W. Bush didn t just lie about the Iraq War. What he did was much worse.

What the Bush administration launched in 2002 and 2003 may have been the most comprehensive, sophisticated, and misleading campaign of government propaganda in American history. Spend too much time in the weeds, and you risk missing the hysterical tenor of the whole campaign.

In the summer of 2002, the administration established something called the White House Iraq Group, through which Karl Rove and other communication strategists like Karen Hughes and Mary Matalin coordinated with policy officials to sell the public on the threat from Iraq in order to justify war. "The script had been finalized with great care over the summer," White House press secretary Scott McClellan later wrote, for a "campaign to convince Americans that war with Iraq was inevitable and necessary."
In that campaign, intelligence wasn't something to be understood and assessed by the administration in making their decisions, it was a propaganda tool to lead the public to the conclusion that the administration wanted. Again and again we saw a similar pattern: An allegation would bubble up from somewhere, some in the intelligence community would say that it could be true but others would say it was either speculation or outright baloney, but before you knew it the president or someone else was presenting it to the public as settled fact.

ROFL 15-YEARS AND STILL RUNNING STRONG... BUSH!!!

12 year from the Iraq invasion and occupation disaster and still the GOP are running away from GW and trying to blame everyone, anyone, but him.

Bullshit, Bush is responsible, but so is every member of congress who voted to authorize and fund it.

No president has the authority to enter a war on his own.

More Bush blunders or outright lies

In order to justify his invasion, Bush told the American people it would be quickly over and that an occupying force of 100,000 troops would not be necessary. When Gen Shinseki stated that an occupying force in excess of that number would be required for many years....he was fired

a majority of both parties in congress authorized, funded, an supported the Iraq fiasco. They are all responsible, including both Clintons.
A minority of Democrats supported it and almost every (except for 7) Republican supported it

But in the end...it was Bush's war
He envisioned it, he lied to get it and he gave the order to invade

Hillary supported it, voted to fund it, and supported the continuation of it. NO ONE LIED. Believing bad intel is not lying. Were the following lying: UN, EU, UK, Germany, Spain, Israel, Russia, Japan, both clintons, kerry, gore, and the dems who voted for it?

We get it that you hate bush and hate that he beat your clowns twice in close elections, We get it.

But Iraq belongs to all of them. Your partisan bullshit notwithstanding.
No, if you bother to read through this thread...they lied
It was not an honest mistake. It was a concerted effort to create an environment where war with Iraq was inevitable
They lied, misrepresented data, withheld data and wrapped themselves in the American flag to bring us to war

If Bush had told the truth, it would have been a different story. Bush took advantage of gullible American anger, fear and patriotism after 9/11 to launch his pre-planned invasion of Iraq.

that is simply not true. the bad intel was accepted by everyone, every international security agency, the UN, the CIA, and the american congress.

It was bad intel. Why was it bad? a couple reasons, 1. Saddam thought he might stay in power if the world thought he had WMDs, 2. the breakdown of the US intelligence agencies when Clinton banned the sharing of data between the CIA, FBI, and military intelligence.

He told what he believed to be the truth, just as did both Clintons----------and they had exactly the same data that Bush had.

Actually, the intelligence was laughed at through most of the world. It was already widely discredited by the time Bush pulled the trigger on the attack

Yellow cake, aluminum tubes, mobile germ warfare labs

All bogus

It has now become pretty much the status of urban legend that no one was crazy enough to link Saddam Hussein to WMD and Al Qaeda terrorists until the Bush administration did it as a rationale — one of several — for the 2003 invasion. It makes for a great story, except for one problem.

It’s wrong.

What follows is adapted from my 2008 book on preventive war, Eve of Destruction. Let’s be clear: if I knew this in 2006 and 2007 when the book was undergoing edits at a top university press, then it wasn’t a secret. The fact of the matter is that Bill Clinton laid out the connection between Iraq, VX weapons, and Al Qaeda in 1998, and Clinton himself provided such a strong rationale for going to war against Hussein that the far left wasapeshit distressed at his turn toward warmongering.

Who started that story about Iraq, WMDs, and Al Qaeda? That’s right, Bill Clinton. Who started that story about Iraq WMDs and Al Qaeda That s right Bill Clinton. The War Room

Guess what. Bill Clinton was lying too. Bill Clinton dropped the bombs on Iraq because Saddam kicked the inspectors out. Saddam kicked the inspectors out because the CIA sent spies along with the UN inspectors. Clinton should be tried for his bombing campaign against Iraq. Also in 1998 there was some doubt still surrounding the WMD's. Clinton never stated it was a slam dunk. As for Al Qaeda, Bill never tied Saddam with Bin Laden. He tied Al Qaeda to many other things and was wrong about it.

I think it was President Clinton who ordered the inspectors out before he started bombing Iraq for hindering the inspection teams that has US Spies in them so of course he had to justify his actions......

The UN did not believe it

Their man on the ground told them otherwise and they withheld approval of the invasion
