California becomes first state to pass water law limiting toilet flushes, showers

I change clothes, underwear and socks every day. Laundry adds up.
There have been water use standards for washing machines for decades, just like cafe standards for cars.modern washers use something %20 of the water old ones do.

You're my age, do you remember those huge washing machines your grand ma had, with the board?

Something like this..

Lol, indeed I do. Grammy had a newer one in the house but the old wringer was still in the garage for rags and gramps's work clothes.

Yup, pretty soon the California government will have entire control of thermostats on households ..

And they will be rationing toilet paper, then food.....
.
Logically, the government should ration food 2-3 days before rationing toilet paper.

That won't be a problem........just like Venezuela....the socialist diet doesn't include food....

Agenda 21: No Showering, Laundry On Same Day Due to Water Limits

Oh we know we have douche brains who have no clue what agenda 21 is . Oh and guess who it loops back to " THE UN" .

I was about the same thing where we can bet the illegals / immigrants can have all the water they want. .

Fools will be fools until they are the ones paying for it

and once again it's all in PLAIN VIEW

DEMOCRATS AGAINST U. N. AGENDA 21

New Mexico???

sir, i want to live in America!

New Mexico. Just like old Mexico with the New Mexico smell...

Truthfully, I kind of miss the 505 (Abq). Good food, no lawns, hard to find a tree away from the river, no humidity...
Except during monsoon season........ Lots of trees here in Duke City.

Duke City... only someone who lives in Albuquerque knows that name... someone who has lived there for quite some time...
One year last Tuesday.

I was there for three years coming from SoCal, left with the company in 2012. The Mrs lived there in her youth, she calls it "the brown town"... we miss the food more than anything else...
We love it.

Actually GOOD , sorry , i have nothing meaningful to say except feck those 'kalifornians' and their type now and in the future .

The whole “wasting water” is the biggest scam by left wing retards. Water is the most abundant resource on the planet. It literally covers two thirds of the planet. There is no such thing as “wasting water”. All water either goes back into the ground or evaporates back into the atmosphere where it came from.

If you folks think this is scary, take a look what California is already doing with SmartGrid and plans to do going forward.

SmartGrid is even scarier because it's already being tested in nearly a dozen places across the country. Oh, and if you've missed the connection, SmartGrid WILL affect all your "Smart" appliances.

DEMOCRATS AGAINST U. N. AGENDA 21

The west is experiencing moderate to extreme drought conditions, Kalifornia politicians are over-reacting as usual, nothing nefarious about it ya clueless twit. You're desperate to buy into this conspiracy shit ain'tcha? You need a real hobby, like truly becoming informed about the real world.

The real shit is going to hit the fan when Cali passes a law that says you can't own a swimming pool in the State. Hollywood won't let that happen of course. So the working-poor can't take showers instead.

CA is actively engaged in helping create the problem to create a crisis that they shouldn't let go to waste.....

Makes me glad I have a private well and septic system.
I know of a lady who had to have her yard dug up because of her septic system having problems which is one thing that wouldn't have been in her picture if she had been on city water instead.

God bless you and her always!!!

Holly
Actually have to install a new system this summer at the tune of 23k. Systems usually last about 25 to 30 years which is probably equal to the cost of city/sewer over same time span.
I pay no monthly bill.
And to add, there are no sewer lines available here as I am in exurbs.

A couple of years ago I drove into central California on I-80. A highway alert sign over the road read 'SEVERE DROUGHT - WATER USAGE RESTRICTION IN EFFECT'
Directly below that sign on the side of the road was a street cleaner, cleaning the road shoulder and spewing water.
...we've got street cleaners in the city, but not the county......I think it's a waste of city tax $$$$

California Now Checks on How Many Times You Flush Your Toilet

toilet-flush.jpg

Oh yeah, and how long you spend in the shower. Can The Flaky State get any weirder?

Starting in 2022, California will limit water to 55 gallons per-person, per-day. By 2030, the amount falls to 50 gallons.

To put this into perspective, just taking one eight-minute shower (17 gallons of water) and doing one load of laundry (up to 40 gallons) is enough to exceed the 55-gallon limit. Taking a bath can use 80 to 100 gallons of water.

More weirdness @ California becomes first state to pass water law limiting toilet flushes, showers

Next thing is to demand all households use smart thermostats that turn up the a/c if it gets "too low."
