Not really. I put Money away in IRAs and 401k. I am an only child and we will have our home paid off. Not the same. We don’t live in fear and save every penny. We go to Disney, Aruba, etc.

Kind of oversimplified. You usually cover the 'ifs' in your investment portfolio with ETFs, stocks, bonds, cds. Probably have a cash reserve sitting around. I think you get the point. Being prepared for the 'ifs' in life is not being scared.

Most likely the answer to my hypothetical question would be close to 0, particularly if we are discussing the population at large outside of the medical facilities. I watched a video of an ER surgical nurse gear up and how long it took her to take it all off. She had layers of masks. The video was about a donation the hospital had received to clean the masks but it can only hold 8 to 10 at a time for thorough UV light cleaning. One reason the hospitals were not able to keep up with the volume last year, reportedly, they did not have enough masks nor the expensive UVC systems to clean them effectively to reuse.

Well that's just dead ass wrong. The unvaccinated speed transmission, creating more cases in general, which means more breakthrough cases, which means more strict safety measures, which means more people in hospitals and more people dying... That affects us all.
