Celebrating Robert E. Lee's Birthday Today Brings Out Southern Pride And Patriotism

Where did he say that? I love when you start acting stupid. Shows you know you are getting served.

Either MLK or today's blacks are failures since they aren't equal to Whites.

Thats what a lot of simpletons think. Neither are failures until the process of striving towards socio-economic equality dies.

MLK is dead, so he can't succeed, in his lifetime, none of his goals were achieved and his utopian vision has yet to be achieved, thus he is a failure. This movement for absolute racial egalitarianism is a failure.

Who told you that? Another man right? Just because they cannot create matter doesnt mean God cannot.

The existence of a creator god goes against the law of the conservation of mass. You have yet to disprove the law of the conservation of mass. Until you do, your claim for a creator god has no viability.

You have yet to prove that law is indeed correct. Until you do that your faith that another man is your superior in knowledge highlights your flawed life philosophies.

I don't need to prove the law of conservation of mass, it is already proven, hence why it is called a scientific law.

None of his goals were achieved? Blacks cannot be banned from lunch counters. They cannot be stopped from registering to vote. They cannot be kept from public schools and public universities. They cannot be forced to the back of the bus.

They are equal in the eyes of the law. And that is a huge difference between how it was before MLK and after.

The fact that none of what you said is true must be frightening for you. I have a biracial daughter, I can buy a home where ever I can afford to pay for it, I can vote, and I can do anything I want to. The only thing that can stop me is me.

The failure is your inability to comprehend.

His goal was for folks to succeed on their merits, not race.

Absolute success.

All of those civil rights laws were passed by Whites and Jews in Congress and the Presidency, not King. Rosa Parks was on the "back of the bus", not King. The 14th Amendment existed long before King, long before the "civil rights movement". The Warren Court(a White and Jewish Court), in the 1950s, ended segregation in schools.

How about a Lyndon Johnson day? Justice Warren Day? Rosa Parks and her jewish ACLU lawyers day?

His dream of social and economic equality among the races is a pipe dream. Equality will never happen.

If that was his goal, than he failed, affirmative action is the law of the land.

You "legally" can do those things, but most Blacks can't do those things. You even admitted before, there is no social or economic equality between the races.

Part of setting the standard and leveling the playing ground.

Part of the Civil Rights law was ended: good.

Affirmative Action will soon be ended as well.

Success, yes; you, failure indeed.

Who told you most Blacks cant do those things? All of them can. Some barriers are still there but Black people need to go through, over, or around those barriers. Yes the starting line for Blacks is still not up to the same point as whites but it still can be done. Thats why the continued work on MLKs dream is considered a success. Armed with the right knowledge, the best any white bigot can do is throw a road block in my way. I just knock it down and keep on going. Legally I cannot be stopped. MLK is one of the most recognizable figures that led to this freedom I enjoy.

Kind of like Bush using socialism to bail out Wall Street, it was to save "capitalism".

Discrimination needs to be used to guarantee "equality". LOL

Doubleplusgood mate.

If King did indeed support a merit based society, that sure didn't happen, thus, he failed. Even you admit, his supposed plan of a society based on merit is not feasible right now, but it will be later, somewhere down the road, time unknown. Your language of someday maybe is his language, and is the language of all utopian idealists throughout history. This state of "equality" will never exist.

No. The story needs to be told. We can piss on the the confederate flag and all the variations of it.

"The story needs to be told". That's a step up for the radical left who pissed on the Stars and Stripes about forty years ago.

I dont claim to represent the left if thats what you are talking about.
