I honestly wish the Catholic Church had treated what THEIR priests were doing to Altar boys with the same urgency they seem to be worried about what gay adults are doing with each other.

Isn't this why they are fighting the gays from a Catholic religious standpoint, otherwise to try and keep them at bay or out of their religion ? I mean as you say they have first hand experience on the subject, and they of all people should know how destructive these deviants and such corruption is, and how such a cultural entrenched deviancy or activity can be devastating when left unchecked or without protest upon as they feel that it should be when encountered from their standpoint or view. Right?

Here's the problem with that theory.

I grew up Catholic back in the 1960s and 1970s, before I realized the whole thing was kind of retarded.

We knew all the priests were gay and all the nuns were lesbians. Because that's what the church did with you back in the day. The minute they figured out you weren't fit for breeding, they got your ass in the Holy Orders and told you that you were a sinner.

Not surprisingly, when it became kind of cool to be gay in the 1980's, membership in the Holy Orders PLUMMETTED!!! So my neices and nephews have no clue when I tell the Nun Horror Stories.

Now, here's the thing. When you grab a kid trying to figure out his sexuality when he's 14, and put him in an environment where he's taught to loath himself, and then assign him as an adult into a place where he has easy access to other young boys and priests who will cover up his actions ("Just say 5 Hail Marys") it's pretty much a recipe for disaster.

If you want to see something horrible, watch a movie called "Deliver us from Evil". It's about how the Catholic Church in California moved a known pedophile from parish to parish in California, paying off the parents and not warning the new communities.

I have spent years conversing with criminals and addicts in the real world...and part of that interaction is helping them to identify (and learning to identify and circumvent) "criminal thinking" patterns. Progressives function in the same manner as any common criminal. They seek to make criminal activity and behavior the norm, and they spend all their lives justifying it
