here is the bottom line....and I watched ABC and NBC last night and CBS this morning and none of them are addressing it (like I am surprised).....

According to the report, President Obama, with the suggestion of Leon Panetta, gave the approval for the military to deploy....

Someone lower down opted to ignore that order.

Exactly where was the outrage of the President that his order to deploy was ignored by a lower level individual?

Bottom line....Panetta suggested it and Obama's campaign team (who he was undoubtedly with that night seeing as he had a major rally in Vegas the next day), suggested it would be a bad idea from an election standpoint to send marines in and possibly have marines die due to his orders.
