Coming to a Red State near you....

They have no effect at all because they're not competitive, once they've been on testosterone blockers for a year.
Female athletes - real female athletes, aren't even complaining about them competing. MEN are complaining.
Boy are you out of touch. See you next orbit.

There is no question that overruling Roe will have severe implications for women at all levels, for years to come. That doesn't even begin to touch on the precedent this activist in removing a Constitutional right granted 50 years ago. I have never before heard of an individual right being taken away.

The effects will be devastating for many women.

Time to stop pretending this is "good for women" as if they are nothing more than stupid cows who don't know what how to make their own healthcare decisions.

Here is a taste of what to expect. Feel free to add more examples.

The wording varies slightly from state to state. Texas allows abortion for “a medical emergency”; Louisiana’s bill makes an exception to prevent “death or substantial risk of death,” or “permanent impairment of a life-sustaining organ”; and Idaho permits abortion “to prevent the death of the pregnant woman.” On Thursday, Oklahoma legislators approved a bill that would ban nearly all abortions starting from fertilization, with an exception to save the life of the mother “in a medical emergency.”

Those exceptions are so vaguely defined, and with such harsh penalties for providers deemed to have violated the terms, physicians say they will be effectively unable to provide proper medical care or even discuss abortion with patients.

Abortion is not a Constitutional Right. That is precisely what the Supreme Court determined. You or anyone else claiming it is a Constitutional Right is a statement not based in fact. It is an opinion, and an opinion many legal scholars on both the Left and the Right feel is wrong.

I support limited abortion rights (not when the child is viable), but the 14th amendment used to justify abortion does not carry legal weight in my opinion.

Please do not falsely say abortion is a Constitutional Right as a statement of fact. If that is your opinion that is fine.

Nice try, but the rule of law means absolutely nothing to them.

Contraceptives are cheap. If you own a cell phone./plan - you can afford them.
My birth control days are long gone, but it isn’t exactly cheap when factor in the doctors visits.

My opinion on abortion is it should be legal but rare. Now that it will likely be illegal in a significant swath of America, I would people would turn towards do everything they can to reduce unwanted pregnancies, but it seems to have the opposite affect. A sort of F-U woman, it’s your own fault, your problem, don’t expect us to help you or provide with means and education to prevent pregnancy.

The Guttmacher Institute did a study that found countries with the most restrictive abortion laws have the some of the highest abortion rates and easier access to birth control reduces abortion rates.

In the US the most effective contraceptives require a doctors visit and prescriptio. In Canada and much of Europe, women can get the pill without a prescription or over the counter. Not here.

This is the first time in its history that the Supreme Court has removed a fundamental right, the right of a woman to make her own decisions regarding her health and well-being.
The Court is imposing its religious view on the American people.
The Court determined that the government is in control of a woman's health when it involves a pregnancy. The woman and her doctor do not decide her fate. The state does.
CNN reports, "Abortion-rights protesters continued to voice their fury and anguish nationwide Saturday following the seismic ruling by the US Supreme Court to eliminate the federal constitutional right to an abortion.

"On Friday, the Court overturned the 1973 ruling known as Roe v. Wade, sparking protests that are expected to extend throughout the weekend.

"Smaller gatherings of people celebrating the ruling are also taking place.

"As states started enacting abortion bans and some clinics stopped offering the procedure, abortion-rights advocates took to the streets in major cities.

"More demonstrations are expected today and Sunday in cities big and small, including in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, New Mexico, California, and many others."

Coming on the heels of the Court's decision to expand gun rights in New York after the shooting massacres in Buffalo and New York, the extreme unpopularity of the Supreme Court's religious decision regarding a woman's right to determine her health and well-being destiny has created chaos across our country, and there is no end in sight.

All that makes Justice Samuel Alito's remarks extraordinarily ironic. He said, "Roe was egregiously wrong from the start. Its reasoning was exceptionally weak [from a religious point of view], and the decision has had damaging consequences. And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have inflamed debate and deepened division.

Incredible! Obviously, Alito is not very cognizant of the world around him. He has lived in the crystal palace far too long.

It was the Supreme Court's decision that fostered "damaging consequences" and "inflamed debate and deepened division!"

At the same time, a former Republican President and the current leader of the Republican Party is being investigated by a Congressional hearing for the alleged crime of leading a coup attempt to overthrow the elected government.

Fostering damaging consequences, inflaming debate, and deepening division are what far-right conservatives do. The proof is in their actions.

These same far-right conservatives expect to win control of Congress in November. As can be seen, if that happens, our country will be in serious trouble.

That is what THIS activist Supreme Court determined in a decision strictly on ideological lines, unlike multiple prior court decisions which recognized it as a Constitutional right and upheld it as a Constitutional right. Take choice. Given that precedent no longer matters this decision could easily be overturned when the make up of the court changes. It was a Constitutional right for 50 years then poof, it wasn’t. Your statement is your opinion only.

Funny how European nations can ban all abortions and not a peep about womens rights is made.

I’m sure Democrats rioting will sway voters alright.

No. The decision was based on the Law. Period.

Actually there have been a lot of “peeps”, you just ignore them. Most recently, the plight of Ukrainian refugees raped by Russian soldiers but unable to get an abortion in Poland.

No. The Justices must base their decisions on the Law. Ruth Bader Ginsberg said for years Roe v Wade was poor Law based on a weak and tenuous basis. She was concerned for that reason. She was correct.
All of them base it to some degree on the law. Decisions are based on the weight of legal precedent, something this court completely discarded.

Fair statement regarding legal precedent. The Court's decision addressed your point. I thought it was interesting and well written. But it is a fair point to raise.
