I have to disagree on one point. The economy does not finance the military, government debt does. Just as it finances all the entitlement programs in the federal budget. I agree with regard to a general higher standard of living.

The truth is that hardly anyone does. Couple a "debt" economy with a "fiat" currency and it is easy to imagine what is coming our way.

The national banks give the businesses free everything but charge the employees for cashing their checks. According to employee protection laws it is illegal to charge from the employees pay but they seem to find ways to circumvent laws and no one seems to give a shit about it when employers and banks do it.
