Copycat Walmart Shooter Stopped by Man with a Gun

Copy cat shooter? He shot no one. He never fired a shot. He went into Wal Mart armed. Is that not the argument many make that we all should be doing?

Now its bad?
Hell fucking yes it is bad. Do you know that guy? Do you know what his intentions are ? Why do you people ask the dumbest questions imaginable that already have obvious answers? This is madness.

So there should be law enforcement stopping armed people asking them what their intentions are?

Someone who is openly carrying only turns into a mass murderer when they start shooting people.

It's impossible to determine if this guy was a psychopath or a "good guy with a gun".

He puts on fatigues and body armor, walks into a Walmart with tactical weapons and a 100 rounds of ammunition and you can’t tell if he is a good guy or a bad guy? Are you joking?

Just curious here, but which of those acts are illegal?

Why did they arrest him? You arrest good guys?

They charged him for indicating a threat.
Thank you! Which is why open carry of automatic weapons in a place of business is total insanity. The logic against that is inarguable.

Which isn't what happened here.

This question is so idiotic I can't see straight. Don't you people get it? Legal or not, everyone is running for the exits when they see someone like that because they don't know. Nor will they ever know.

It doesn't fucking matter. My God, how can you people be this stupid? What if it happens tomorrow? Do you know that it won't,while you and your family go shopping in there? Just ask the kids in Walmart in El paso who's parents are dead while they went in there to shop for party favors, what their opinions are about someone walking again in Walmart dressed for mass killing? Have you people lost your friggin minds?

Your rant has nothing at all to do with anything I've argued. If you have a valid argument you also do not have to simply make things up to argue it.

I may be wrong, but this Walmart was probably posted as a no weapon zone. If so, then the legal thing to do would have been to ask the guy to leave. If he refused to leave, then he could be arrested.

Missouri Gun Laws | GunsToCarry Guide

NO
Missouri gun laws are a bit confusing on “No Weapons” signs. There are legal penalties for entering a private property or business that has posted these signs. However, according to the law, you only commit an offense if you refuse to leave the property after being asked to do so, or repeat the offense in a set period of time.

GunsToCarry recommends that you do not enter a property displaying a “No Weapons" sign whether the law is for or against signage. If asked to leave a property and you refuse to do so then you are breaking the law and put yourself at risk of being charged.

Just happened to be an off duty fireman who saved who knows how many lives.

Off-duty firefighter stops man armed with 100 rounds of ammunition at south Springfield Walmart
He walked through the store pushing a cart. Article doesn't say he intended or attempted to harm anybody. This is the other end of the Nut Parade. One end "I'm going to go kill a lot of people" wherever! The other end "I have to go full combat mode to go to Walmart because some nut with a gun might show up" This was a statement by the other side. I don't support gun control. But I also don't condone inducing panic to make a political statement. He should feel the full weight of the Justice system for causing a panic, not for carrying his weapon in public. If he wanted to ensure the safety of the public he could have posted himself outside with a sign saying " You are safe to shop today".!!!!!

Proving you are a moronic troll. Later in the thread I agreed with X, however that wouldn’t fit into your bigotry.

The man was detained by an armed off duty fireman until the police arrived

Concealed carry does save lives

Did he save lives, or was this just one of your open carry nuts? You guys usually applaud the dipshits walking around with rifles.

Maybe nothing. Maybe this:

Menacing or brandishing is a criminal offense in many U.S. states generally defined as displaying a weapon with the intent of placing another person in fear of imminent physical injury or death. Depending on state, degrees of offense range from a misdemeanor for first-time offenders, to low- to mid-level felonies for offenders with a prior menacing charge.[1] Self-defense is often explicitly given as an exception.

The tangentially related crime of "Menacing By Stalking" was introduced as a new charge in some states following the popularization of laws specifically targeting stalking behavior, in which a perpetrator adopts a long-term pattern of actions designed to frighten and harass a victim while still adhering to the letter of existing harassment laws.

That's from wiki. I don't know if it applies in Missouri law, or city or county ordinance where the arrest took place.

Edit - Days after multiple mass murders, anyone who wouldn't view such conduct as menacing is loony.
